You mean the underpaid harassed slaves at Abu Dhabi
Noones been sacked Inky but the consultation period for a redundancy programme has started
And you don't give a shiiiit about anyone who works for arsenal same like you don't care about the dodgy human rights record of City's owners
Don't pretend like you do for a bit of cheap points scoring
Noones been sacked Inky but the consultation period for a redundancy programme has started

Yeah, they're not sacked yet !!!
A classic Agent's plant. Get offer from club, leak that it's nearly agreed, effectively a last call to anyone interested that they need to get involved now.
SSN jump all over it, reporting The Time's information. fanning the flames of betting on him staying, via SkyBet of course.
And The Times, a subscription paper too, wonder how many goooonies have signed up since they broke that headline
Being made redundant is not being sacked.
Should never have left Dortmund.not for arsenal anyway.

So the Telegraph break it and The Times' call it their EXCLUSIVE trust worthy bunch !
The best part of this it indicates Auba has been convinced that we are making significant signings and have ambition. If Wenger had done this RVP would never have left, amongst others.

Friend of mine got made reduntant, got three months wages in liue of notice and another three months wages as well, came away with thirty four grand before tax,and all done by email.
Whilst the redundancies are terrible, can we move away from the nonsensical false equivalency between players and staff.
Players are multimillion pound commodities, which are vital for the club. Non playing staff like scouts and stadium staff are not.
It's like comparing the art in a high profile gallery to its cleaners and administrative support staff.

My work did this once and it was a total disaster... A rejig to weed out "bottom 10%" and trouble makers etc
But then they told the lot who stayed they got 6 months salary so everyone wanted to get laid off too!

Nope, doesn't work that way. Redundancy package is calculated using the number of years' service.

Love to, if truth be known we could not give him away.
Even if we sold Ozil we would reinvest the money into the squad. We are a football team, afterall.
Sounds very much like some of the redundancies are in the scouting network - something that was meant to happen a couple of years ago but was delayed when Mislintat left.
I'm sure others will be in hospitality. Obviously no fans = no hospitality. The club did mention, I believe, it expects less companies to be investing in that side of the club in the forthcoming months/years. Do people really expect us to employ people to do nothing?
