Train derailed in Stonehaven

Aye, looks a bad one. Just south west of Stonehaven, I think. We had horrific rain and thunderstorms in the Aberdeen area overnight, and Stonehaven is prone to landslides any time there’s heavy rain.

Not that I’m aware of.
This is getting more ridiculous by the day. Now Oldham is to be locked down. Why? Because 255 people have tested positive out of a population of around 100,000. That’s 0.25% of the population. Testing positive that is. Not hospitalised. Not dead. Have the virus for 14-21 days before they get better or fall ill enough to the point of needing treatment.
So all these businesses and suppliers cease trading. No simple isolation of the 255 and their immediate family while a trace is undertaken for others who may have been in contact with them. No. Lock down everything.
It’s a fwcking joke.
Meanwhile NZ get some unbelievable praise because they’ve locked down their biggest city for 4 cases of positive testing.
The world has gone mad and like fwcking idiots we allow it.

I'd debate quite a few of those. Don't get me wrong the money wasted will still be substantial but not as high as that
Musonda fee for a start. Given is was cut short then highly unlikely we paid that
Kouassi - no way we paid £3M. perhaps something up front then more in appearances etc but given he is a flop then we won't have paid out much
400k for Morgan wasn't a huge risk. I wouldn't say he was a flop, he just didn't make the step up rather than was a disaster.

I agree its now become a massive social control exercise.
One could kinda understand lockdowns at the very start when little was known about the severity of the "virus"but now even with the dubious figures(i say dubious because we all know almost every death is being put down as covid !! even the govt have admitted to mistakes and an over inflation of mortality figures)the mortality figures are now showing up as no worse than a bad flu season!! Actually does anyone know anyone who died of flu this year??Or has even had the flu this year?
My dad was tested and found to be positive for this "virus"hes nearly 90 and very frail with parkinson's and dementia and sailed through with hardly a symptom !!!,he was off his grub for 2 days thats it . So WTF is going on? its time we were allowed to get on with our lives ,i mean every day you get out your bed theres a risk it can be your last.We are only on this planet for a relatively short time ,are supposed to live our lives in fear wear and face nappies forever now???
Games cancelled is PC gone mad. The need to be seen to be politically correct is astonishing. I do laugh at the explanation for cancelling games ‘for the public’s health’. So, to protect the public they’ve cancelled football games you wouldn’t have attended anyway, and you could only watch on the tv. Players will continue to train, and postponed games will be played in the future. How does this protect the public?
Selling Edouard now would be a big mistake. You might say there’s a chance of immortality at risk. Eddie’s what’s selling the season books and he’s knocking them in for fun, so PL best not sell unless there’s a ready replacement lined up. Which just isn’t realistic. We talk about being a big club wanting to be ready for the qualifiers every year. And usually there are two/three gaps in the squad needing filled. But Our squad is healthy atm and settled. Why mess about with a winning formula? No point creating a problem that doesn’t exist. Trying to bed in a new forward would be a nightmare scenario.
CL money is quite important to Celtic. Qualifiers being only one leg this season, so the results will be far less predictable. We need to give ourselves every chance by having our strongest team available to NL. #Must keep Eddie

No chance, the Scottish Government had to take a decisive action, if high profile people aren't punished everyone else takes the pash.
See Barnard Castle.
The were lenient on Celtic in the circumstances, even allowing you to fudge the time when he got back so you can play CL.

Agree said it yesterday but a fine to Celtic and aberdeen and boli sacked would have been the appropriate response.
Considering the player is negative cancelling was just the SNP targeting Celtic to get at us.

No chance, the Scottish Government had to take a decisive action, if high profile people aren't punished everyone else takes the pash.
See Barnard Castle.
The were lenient on Celtic in the circumstances, even allowing you to fudge the time when he got back so you can play CL.

Hmmm. Following this logic should anyone who does something stupid like this have their employers cease trading for two weeks?
