Think Cech II is Mendy's replacement at Reim & for whatever reason we don't seem to be interested
Only thing that stands out about Mendy having YouTube scouted him lol, comments picked up on it aswell, he parries shots back out into dangerous areas. But other than that looks decent enough.

Don't know who you are referring to as "Cech II", if it is Rajkovic...he already resides in Reims.

Mendy' basic metrics are comparable to Cech' at Rennes.
Yes Rajkovic, Reims bought him to replace Mendy last season (what I was referring too).
Just feels like the right one for us, but Mendy looks alright, to the degree YouTube can tell you about a player at least.
Mendy looks like Mr Fantastic with those overused arms
He's 28 already, is he a late bloomer ?
Aren't Rennes asking around €45m for him ?
Never seen him play but from the numbers he seems to be class at dealing with crosses, which is no surprise given his height

Yeah 28 threw me a bit too. But tbf keepers can go WAY longer than outfield players.
Approx 24-25 in goalkeeper years

€20m - €25m (+ potentially Tomori) for a club like Rennes is substantial to reinvest, especially as they only bought Mendy for €4m.
A lot of Rennes fans on twitter saying they'd be gutted if left even for €50m. Reims supporters claiming that he was already one of the very best GK in Ligue 1. According to L’Equipe Mendy was indeed close second best GK in the league behind Navas.
He appears to have good positioning, quick reflexes and be quite vocal towards the defenders in front of him, but he constantly parries it away even if it looks as though it could have been simple to catch and hold.
