Over £100m (Pulisic & Kovacic) was spent with the ban in mind thats why.
I think it’s a compliment to Chelsea if Klopp is talking about us. That’s a good sign.
Why are you doing this to yourself is a more pertinent question imo.
Dont see anything wrong with what he said, is it not true ? You calliing him a liar?
He said we have had success doing what we do and cannot just decide to operate like chelsea, probably not just on about this window but the entire abramovic era in general same with city.
"Clubs are in different situations and we are living in uncertainty in the world.
"For some clubs it seems to be less important how uncertain the future is because they are owned by countries, owned by oligarchs, and that is the truth.
"We are a different kind of club.“
Again true.
Ofc the issue many liverpool fans have is you could change it from chelsea to villa or everton and its still true 😂😂

lol Liverpool, Southampton and Spurs(off the top of my head) all announced they would and as quickly reversed their decision. It never happened, good try tho

City getting banned from europe showed that
Let’s count Pulisic towards next season’s spending as well, he was only bought nearly two years ago after all.
Oh and Liverpool and Spurs couldn’t wait to furlough people and reduce wages, but after getting loads of stick for it they decided not to, how admirable.

Clearly Klopp spent his lockdown learning to play the world’s smallest violin
-------------------------------------------------
And got very good at it.
Shouldn't Liverpool have money to spend anyway? They've been taking in TV rights, won the league and champions League too.
got asked a question and gave an answers i doubt he even remembered chelsea sold hazard the previous year, probably only really focuses on liverpool

I'd say if there is a manager in England that is under no heat, at all, it would be Jurgen I've just won Liverpool the league and CL in the space of five years Klopp.
It is funny that's he's whinging about chelsea doing exactly what liverpool did. Sell a big player then use that money (and a healthy transfer budget) to go on a spending spree.
Seems like he's getting excuses in early.
He’s not quite right to say that Liverpool can’t do it. Look at the difference in asset value of Liverpool as a whole compared to when FSG bought it. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect them to invest more given the obscene return on investment they’ve had.
It’s a choice on behalf of their owners, there’s no “can’t” there as they’ve easily got enough in their p&l for ffp purposes.
Is he whining? I don't think he wants to manage a club like the one's he mentioning. In fact he seems very happy to me.
I saw a post that stated that Liverpool in the 5 years pre transfer ban had a higher net transfer spend than Chelsea.
Must be horrible for Klopp having look behind the sofa for transfer funds.

Apparently without player sales we break even and that's to do with an 87% increase in wages since 2015. Some clubs have taken out loans, we havent.
