When Reading set the Championship record points total they lost their first game at home.

Oh deer.

not the best performance, a bit rusty, but I still think we'll finish top 2.. last few seasons I'm very surprised we didn't go down like a rock, but I still have a very good feeling about htis one.

The season could always be curtailed half way through and the EFL will have to rely on CAGs with an algorithm.

You never know, that may work in our favour.

that's true Heb.

I lost the internet at half time. I tried half-heartedly to restore it and I'm really glad I failed. Don't know what the second half was like but we had no penetration or creativity whatsoever in the first 45 minutes. There was none on paper either so it was entirely expected. Ah well!!!!!

My reasons to be positive are that we're 3 bad influences and 1 whinger who didn't like being called out for bad performances & attitude down on last season, and the others who gained experience last season know what they're up against now.

We don't have the distractions of last season. We're no longer under the illusion that Rooney is some football god who can be relied on to get us out of any sticky situation and that instead we have to work for our results.

Martin is a loss and we could do with a replacement, but if one comes in we shouldn't struggle.

If anything is going to ruin our season it's more likely to be us finishing top 2 then end up with the FA winning their appeal and having points docked.
