Zoe Ball's BBC salary is a disgrace. Spinning pop records and chatting on the radio is more valuable to our country than over 40 experienced, life saving ITC Nurses each year, apparently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And likewise De Gea’s salary and add ons could possibly keep an entire hospital unit functioning.
£150 per year per household really isn’t that much, especially if there’s 3 or 4 per household all using BBC telly, online, radio, podcasts etc. Compared to what you get with Sky, Virgin or whoever it’s a pittance IMO.

TBF to Linekar he is working in a business (football) that pi55es money up the wall. He could earn more being an average and unsuccessful football manager, but we fans insist that our TV football pundits walk the walk. So they need an incentive to stay in the media. At least he has been there and done it in football. hes not a bad presenter too.
But Zoe Ball? Where is the talent?

but what if you don't use it I for instance will occasionally watch the news but could easily watch sky if that wasn't available. The content these days really isn't that good.
So how easy is it to opt out
The BBC is a fantastic service and I think too many people under appreciate it.

She's an ugly fooker as well
Strange
first time i've ever seen anyone actually supporting the Biased Broadcasting Corporation, have i missed the punchline somewhere
At the same time the BBC are caving into Zoe Ball and her chums, another group of women are taking the Government to court because they don't want to work until they're 66+ like men have to do.
I watch MOTD to watch the football highlights, I wouldn't give a flying fek if it was presented by one of the cleaning staff.

It’s not the fact they are having to work until they are 66 - it’s the fact many, like my missus, lost six years pension at very short notice. We are lucky we can survive without the extra £36,000 but others can’t - especially single women who many have had to continue working When they expected retirement.
8 million people a week liaten to zoe ball.
7 million people a week watch match of the day.
Explain to me how they are overpaid when they host shows which bring in that many listeners/viewers?

I think it’s heralded around the world - held up of an example of how you do things.
The content they put out is mixed of course, but on the whole I think it’s exceptional given it doesn’t operate as a private business.
Appreciate it’s just an opinion but think a lot of people underplay the range of services they provide - worldwide.
We’d miss it if it were gone imo.

Unlike other organisations the BBC have to publicly publish salaries. Which at times places them at an uncompetitive disadvantage to their rivals.
Can be sure he's agreed a less lucrative package than he could have commanded at the likes of Sky Sports.
