My exact thoughts.
Off the ball threat he can provide from left channel can be really problematic for their right-side.

Tammy up top with off the shoulder movements as well, could be very helpful against a relatively high-line but seeing as he hasn't taken part in any pitch time I'd say unlikely to start (as much as I'd like it happen).


As for Salah, think Azpi with his right-foot will play LB to combat Salah cutting in from the right onto his left.

Proven we can go toe to toe (without a fit Kante) and gave them their toughest challenges last season to my mind.

I think people underestimate how good your squad was last year. They have that experience playing together and I think we’ll struggle. The big thing for us is you have no Pulisic

Go into every game wanting to win but if we come away with a draw I’ll take that

I’m hoping last week was a wake up call for us, and we’ll see our defence far more focussed than last week. If that’s the case then I think we’ll win, as we seem to have it the ground running in an attacking sense.

Hoping Matip starts if he's available ahead of Gomez.

Gomez has more pace than Matip which means he will get the nod. He needs to be more disciplined and not go hunting the ball in midfield.

We've proven going back to the Sarri days we can give Liverpool a game atm. Haven't been outplayed the last 6 games against them (including cups) while they've been OP.

It's a weird one. They are better than us, and we may well lose, but I don't fear them. Play like we usually do against them we have a solid chance.

Alonso at left back - I’m sure Salah is looking forward to that.
Kovacic in, instead of RLC who isn’t even on the bench.
And Fabinho at centre back for Liverpool.

I'll go for a draw. Shame we have some key players missing, otherwise we would have a much better chance to win.
