Even the best players get to where they need phased out.
The secret is the player and the manager realizing it and having the courage to do it

No matter what you think of him, wishing one of our players to pick up an injury that would put him out for 6 months is absolute scheidt behaviour.
I didn’t see any of the game last night so have no idea how good, bad or indifferent Brown or any other player performed, but I’d never wish harm like that on any player, far less one of our own.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Totally understandable thought process.
As is mine for wanting the IR@ to kidnap him for 9 months.
I'd like to wish Ryan Kent and Scott Brown a six month niggling groin injury
One from each team for balance
Brown is slowing down no doubt but there isn’t anyone at the club to take his place right now.
Ntcham flatters to deceive in the 10 role and hasn’t a defensive bone in his body. Only McGregor has some of the qualities brown does however you won’t see McGregor take a yellow in a drab 0-0 with 20 mins left Just to fire everyone up, drive the team forward or cover the space in front of the defence. As ginger said - wed be absofeckinlutely destroyed in some domestic games without him - folk need to get a grip ffs

Get Turnbull into the team...pronto. Why he has not already is staggering. The boy is a cracking player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Turnbull
Is he a cracking player ? Has anyone watched him and thought that here ? I'm not being dismissive just genuinely asking
Soro should be given a chance , he looks a bit weak build wise but he looks like he has all the other tools for that role
Anyway the solution is McGregor in that role
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I have and said it many time that Turnbull is perfect to replace Brown. He actually reminds me of the Brown that we signed all they years ago. Turnbull and McGregor in the DM roles to play off each other gives me tingly feelings in a really good way
So we move our most effective attacking midfielder (McGregor) into a defensive role ? Not only is he not going to be particularly great in that role but we lose him from the attacking side?
One of mcgregors positives is he can play quick incisive passes. Some of our best football over the last few years was when he was playing deep with Christie and Rogic alongside him under Rodgers. Then brown came back and played at Ibrox and stank the gaff out. Think he can give a lot to the team in that role.
Would be more confident with Mcgregor than playing Soro but that’s more based on not knowing if Soro is any good despite him being here nearly a year.
I reckon we'll see Barry Douglas coming in on loan next week

Sell Tierney for £25 M
Buy Taylor and Boli for £5.5 M
And then bring in Barry Douglas on a loan

Nothing would surprise me about our recruitment these days. Think I'd have to leave the site if that happened. No don't .... said absolutely nae cant.
I know, it's a sh1tshow mate.....given Lennon's words though last week after the no fans announcement, there's no way we'll go and buy someone now(unless we sell a player) so it will be a last minute loan deal just to add to that area.
Ideally we need someone with pace out there that can go and beat a man as well as defend. Wee Taylor just isnae athletic or good enough for it tbh, he should be no more than a backup. 7 weeks ago Boli fcked up and even then he was shiite last season so the club knew we needed to strengthen that position but it's the usual
cannae believe they thought Boli was a better option last season that Romain Peraud and Birger Meling. Meling the exact type we need
I don't know what Douglas is like
If actually take a decent left back if that's what he is
We have alot of concerns
The two main issues for me are Forrest and Brown
Forrest is injured so hopefully he comes back with some desire
Brown will start every game ,and play every minute
And Lennon will shove that shiete up his gum. Whilst watching him toil
BTW, I'm fully expecting Rangers to pull 1 or 2 more rabbits out the hat before deadline day (possibly on it) ... maybe tapping into the Liverpool connection again? Have absolutely no inside knowledge, just seems pretty obvious as they go "all in" this season. Hope we're prepared for that, because at the moment we're pretty much sleepwalking through a potential 10IAR campaign so far.
The state of the two old firm managers btw
Ones kicking about with a Harrington and bover boots on and the other is squeezing himself into a bobbly trackie whilst shoving baccy in his mouth

Let’s be honest, our defensive frailties have been abundantly obvious for well over 4 years now. Neither Rodgers nor Lennon had or has the answer.
And again for all those bleating on about Brown; miss him out against the likes of Rangers and we’ll be trampled over. Replacing him will take time and be gradual. It will happen mostly over the course of this season but you can’t just drop arguably our most influential player and real pace him with some imagines formation between the others and expect it to just make us so much better overnight.
Turnbull is an attacking midfielder. He was never bought as Brown’s replacement. Ntcham isn’t it any more either which leaves McGregor. McGregor is not the same as Brown in his position.
Lennon is tinkering enough with the side as it is without trying to replace Brown at the same time.

I'd file this analysis under nonsense.
Browns absolutely shiete ginger
Do you not see this ??
Does his misplaced passes not register with you ??
Does his lack of intelligence not concern you when you watch football ?
Has his deterioration in pace not showcased itself to you ??
The only thing I agree with you on is that Turnbull isn't a DM
Brown has been daftied in every OF game since the Invincible season bar the 2-0 win last season at Ibrox.
I get he's been an outstanding captain but anyone is watching him and thinking it's a smart decision for him to start is either on crack or wearing back to front binoculars.
Btw, see that booking he got last night.
It was the exact same type of booking he used to get when he was playing with that hip injury.
He's miles aff the pace and he's frustrating as fluck now. He's been booked 6 times in 11 games

Listen mate. I’m not disagreeing in the slightest that he is nowhere near the same player he has been in the past and it’s clear on the eye that his weaknesses are probably now outstripping his strengths.
What I’m saying is that right now we don’t appear to have either the player or the alternative formation that we can just swap over and suddenly everything will be better.
He needs replacing. Just over a period of time which I suspect, hope and believe will be gradually over the course of this season.
That’s all.
