Managers are only human (well most of them lol 😂) and have blind spots for players. BR had a blind spot for ages for his pet lamb
----------------------------------------------------------------------
FFS just as well our missuses have soft spots for us or we’d have been bombed for something better. Even those that are punching.

I'm not sure we have a single player who I would say has played well this season, there's been moments and the odd game from some players, but is anyone showing something 2-3 games running?

Ajeti probably gets pass marks although he's still far from being match fit, Barkas although not spectacular has probably just about got pass marks.

I would single out 4 players who are really miles away from their best or just plain not good enough.

Brown - honestly can't even really remember him having a good game yet, the bookings are racking up for him, it's clear to me that he knows he's over the hill and the frustration is getting to him.

Forrest - I'm one of his biggest supporters, his form has always been streaky but his match winning contribution is usually more than enough to make up for it, not this season, he's been an empty shirt 90% of the games we've played.

Taylor - Simply not good enough, doesn't have the speed, power, technical ability or skill to play for us, Hayes wasn't good enough but is twice the player Taylor is.

Edouard - apart from his opening day hat-trick Eddy has looked disinterested, when he does manage to control the ball he usually tries to beat 4 men in a tight space, I'm starting to wonder if Celtic knocked back a bid we've not heard about and Eddy's in a huff.

There's probably others that deserve to be singled out, but those are the 4 that I feel really need to either get their sh!t together (Eddy/Forrest} or dropped completely (Brown /Taylor).

We will not get away with playing like this all season so something has to change, I really hope Lenny is just protecting his players in public when he says he thought we played well last night, if not I'm very worried

Broony is Lennys big pal and secret drinking buddy.

Seriously hope he keeps picking his chum - particularly in OF games where he has been a poor mans Alan Power against us recently. 👍

Lets get real ffs.

Broon is fvcking GASH.

He's too slow running back and he doesn't have the vision or the techical nous to effect our forward game.

We have a full team of Midfielders to choose from, fvck sake we have Bitton and Ajer here, their natural position is Broony's - give them a shot and use Soro as backup.

Broony's been good for the 9 in a row, but he's done now.

Lets not get sentimental and lose sight of the real issues.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think that’s really being debated. Most agree he needs a spell out the team. That doesn’t, and shouldn’t, have to be through a bad injury though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I never said it did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes. I know.

And I never said that you had said that.

Want to keep going?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Brown's role in the team WAS being debated.

I never mentioned him being injured, so why state the injury thing in a reply to my post..?

‘ I don’t think that’s really being debated.’

The only real disagreement on here was about the injury part. No one said he should remain an integral part of the team, and that he wasn’t on the way down.

I added the bit about being injured because I thought it was bang out of order being said about one of our own players. I never said you said it. I never suggested you implied it. I was only emphasising that the decision should be solely on a footballing basis.

He really isn’t. And Lenny is probably the only person at Lennoxtown unimpressed by Broony wearing only shorts and t shirt in the depths of winter. If he drops him and we lose half the support will pillory him. If he doesn’t and we lose the other half will. He’s probably like the rest of us waiting for the suspension to make the choice for him?

The kebab incident aside I don't think Brown strikes out as a Jakey type. His abilities might be in question but he seemed to me to be a professional.

‘the Happy Clappy Rangers support’

😂😂😂

Where on earth are you getting that from?

Because every single Rangers fan didn’t want SG shot at dawn for drawing with Hibs? (Although there were a few on here)

Or because we were reasonably pleased at winning away 4-0 in Europe against a decent Dutch team?

Don’t get me wrong - trophies are very important and we need to start winning some. But I genuinely don’t obsess over the shiny shiny to the extent that it blinds me from positive aspects of our team or the progress we have made in the past couple of seasons.

To translate that into ‘happy clappy’ is hilarious. It’s almost like Celtic fans are only satisfied if the whole Rangers support is in a constant deep depression. Living in mortal fear at the prospect of ten in a row 😂

Nah.... life’s too short man. It can be tough at times but there is nothing wrong with trying to enjoy supporting our team 👍
