No, not at all tbh. I'm not sure he's the right guy long term and I'm not sure what credentials got him the job to begin with. But he got third place last year and everyone can see that we're playing with a half fit team at the minute.
My main tactical issue with him, which I've mentioned a few times is the insistence in bringing on defenders for midfielders and attackers late in games. If we're struggling to hold on to leads, it makes no sense to invite more pressure through your substitutions imo. But it's something he's done repeatedly, often to our detriment. Bar that one big issue, I wouldn't have that many complaints.
But he's not at the level, or anywhere near it, of someone like Klopp. And if we are serious about contending for league titles again, then there will be a decision to be made at some point in the future there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A club like United should hire the best manager possible, that is, the like of Guardiola and Klopp.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't disagree. I think we should be going for someone like Nagelsmann or even Poch if and when we do replace Ole. Who are as good as any available manager out there imo
Depends. Do you wanna start winning things again or happy to be a top four side for a while? If the former then of course he needs to go.
Is Ole a top level manager?
No.
Was he going to get the sack after finishing 3rd?
No.
Will he get sacked after a few games?
Again no.
We have more pressing concerns right now.
I love this site.

Well the performance wasn’t great and we really should have lost the game. I’m not saying I’m ole out or anything but given the performance I think articles like this were to be expected.
Don’t think Nagelsmann would come anyway. I read an interview with him before where he was saying that managing huge clubs wasn’t something he was that keen on doing, given all the pressures it entails. Apparently he doesn’t plan on staying in the game that long.
That of course could all change, but he seems to have mapped out a career path already that doesn’t include managing a big premier league club.

He's established Liepzig as a consistent CL qualifier, doing so in double quick time, with limited resources compared to other top teams in that league. This, in spite of having his too players plucked on a semiregular basis. His teams play good football. He has the universal respect of his players, who would run through brick walls for him, in spite of being only 33 or 34 years old. He's also reached a CL semi final.
Pretty decent credentials. Certainly better than those of our current manager, whom you think is good enough for the job. So why isn't Nagelsmann? Because he's not our current manager? Or is it that he's never played for us?
Why should Ole be punished for your board not adequately backing him following a strong finish to last season?
I think it’s fair to say you aren’t the only team who have started the season weakly

Maybe our plan is to be so mediocre for so long that he'll not see us as a big club. Ed's long term planning is far superior to what any of us realised!

Woodward’s so incompetent that if that was actually his plan we’d end up winning the treble.

Got to say though, the match threads are more entertaining than the games themselves these days
Some of the flip flopping on there has to be seen to be believed

You didn't think today's game was entertaining?
