If we all accept that crowds influence results then it follows that we should either have them for the entire season or not at all. It is beyond my comprehension why somebody would think bringing them back during a campaign is fair?

Everton beat us (for the first time in years) at the Lane with no crowd. So its only right that the stadium is empty when we go to their place.

Its not rocket science.

Wanting fans back is a different arguement to whether it is fair or not. I get the need for debate around it. Ultimately, we all know that as soon as fans are allowed in then they will be back in.

But I don't feel it would be fair, I didn't last season. But I get opinions differ on this.

The argument around it evening out as you would then play home game with fans but also away ones too isn't a fair comparison. 38 games each with the same corresponding fixture is what I feel is fair.

But last season wasn’t “right” as you put it. The season changed halfway. I see no reason why I can’t this season. It’s better for everyone involved to get crowds back. This is financially for all clubs including the small boys in the lower leagues. I’m totally for getting fans back and couldn’t give a s** about the fairness of it. It didn’t matter last season, so why should it now ?

If its not fair its pointless and counts for nothing.

I’m sure Liverpool didn’t call it pointless when they won the league last season son. Get off you’re high horse dude. Crowds need to come back for the good of the game, clubs and everyone involved

Not that it will happen, but if Spurs miraculously won the league this season and crowds come back halfway, I’m sure none of you will be harping on about “unfairness”.

I know many Liverpool fans socially and despite what those on here will tell you it took alot away from their title win and lets face it they'd already won it anyway.

I think keeping the league as fair as possible far outweighs bringing back supporters this season but we aren't going to agree and so be it.

I honestly would mate. I'd still celebrate the win though. Anyway, it isn't just about league winners. There are other prizes at stake that would be effected.

I would be pleased we'd won it but I'd much rather do it without the integrity of the competition being compromised.

No we won’t agree guys. I want crowds back and I feel bringing crowds back is better for all parties. If it taints the season halfway, I really don’t care. It didn’t matter last season so shouldn’t really matter now.

Without wishing to argue with you all day I have no choice but to point out that it mattered to me last season and I made that very clear at the time.

Pranks and I had many a late night debate about it.

2 home wins if we discount cheating

In which game was there cheating Taki ?

The point being that playing at home is supposed to give the home team an advantage, with the home crowd right behind them. So it would be totally unfair that two teams plays home and away, one without a home crowd and the other with a home crowd.

I want crowds back as much as the next supporter, but not at the expense of the integrity of the sport. It has to be a level playing field, no ifs, no buts.

One whole season without crowds will not be the end of the world.

IMO a percentage of fans should be back in the stadiums now, but that's a different story.
To answer you, no! If and when fans come back, it'll be the same for all parties as teams will have played the same amount of games
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It wouldn't be fair as teams would play reverse fixtures differently. For example, Liverpool played Everton at Goodison with no fans. But then would get to play at home with a crowd. Imagine if that was a title decider.

Completely unfair. The basic arguement of all teams having it the same is laughable.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So no fans all season? Is that fair on the fans? Suck it up and get on with it is the way I see it, just like they did at the back of last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Suck it up and get on with it

I can't compete with that arguement

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just my opinion mate. Having no fans all season is imo wrong. Yes it may not be fair to some teams but hey, that's life.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nah you need a completely level playing field. Spurs had to go to Old Trafford with no fans, wouldn`t be fair for Spurs to play the reverse match in front of a big hostile WHL crowd, especially after winning the away game 6-1.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair for who?

What makes you think you'd beat Utd at home in front of fans?

posted on 20/10/20

Nah I have quite enjoyed no fans it gives a different perspective of the game

I think we’d have a better chance, and I doubt we’d have beaten United 6-1 with their home crowd there.

It did matter last season, the only people who think it was fair, right and proper, and without compromise, are the fans of those clubs who had something to lose.

Everybody else sees a giant asterisk next to 2020*, and we don`t want that to happen in 2021 also. You should finish a season under the rules and conditions set out before it started, or not at all.

I think completing the season how it started under the same conditions is fair for everyone. It's always going to be a bizarre/interesting/crazy season that has and will throw up surprises.

Nobody wants a 1 or 2 team league and everyone else fights for scraps scenario. It seems like any team now has a chance for a scalp and that will make for a great season.

Season is already tainted anyway, football with no fans just isn’t football.
So I say bring back the fans as soon as possible. The game is about fans and FOR fans. We should never ever forget that
