No surprise its being lead by LFC and Utd and their American investor ownership.
This is the big pay off which they've always had in mind - City and CFC owners not so interested in making huge sums but obviously want to be at the top table, while Spurs and Arsenal would not want to be left behind.
No one ever asks what the fans want because foreign ownership, with no tie to the club or their fans whatsoever, do not care about fans, they care about the return on their investment.

How much longer does the English top flight have left anyway before the only English thing about it is the name? You wanted this. You encouraged it with your selfish demands for expensive foreigners in the transfer market every season. For the world's top foreign managers. Billionaire owners who murder women and children just so you can sign a Columbian flop for £70m just for him to leave after scoring once and not giving a shiiit. YOU are to blame for the death of football. Hang your head in shame. Whoever you are.

I know I shouldn't say this, especially to you, but this is extremely accurate.
Wow this is inevitable. I dont like it at all but this was always the end game for these billionaires. To make wven more cash from football.
I can def see this happening. Where there is money ot will be followed. And before other club fans start moaning, dont get too mighty about it. They will be queuing up to join as well when they see the cash.

From what I am reading and seeing, it is to replace the CL. What I don't get is, how wouid European qualification work then? Or would it be the same but without those clubs going into it.

Same teams every season is what I’ve read

Surely the CL would be a seperate competition. So the teams creating this European Premier League would be the same teams each year, but European football would be different. How would it work?
This is ludicrous to be fair but until we hear proper info then it's hard to debate it properly.
Can’t imagine this is anything g other than a closed shop money grab.
But hardly anything unexpected.
Football is a business. They’re not going to maximize profits by having mbappe and mane only facing each other Once every couple of years.
Has a £4.7b backing of JP Morgan. Levy will be backing it if we are one of the teams

100%.
Could you blame him? He'd have no choice surely?
Thing is with a European super league, you are going to have 18 of the biggest clubs in European football with only one club coming out as a winner(football wise).
Would fans of clubs who are serial winners domestically really tolerate their club finishing midtable or lower season after season.
One winner of a title,18 billionaires getting richer and the fans of these teams getting royally fooked over.

Read it’s about £150m a year guaranteed. Nope don’t blame him
Doesn't matter who you support this should be f**ked right off asap!!!
Got nothing to do with the teams you support has to do with football fans opposing this to ensure the clubs understand this is not what we want!
Would also be good if we could stop making snide digs about a tragic incident that happened 35 years ago too...that would be a start!
A European Super League would be amazing, I don't get why so many fans are against it. All the top teams playing each other week in week out in a league format would be quality.
