If possible, please edit to add in the English Prem board as I think lots of others would want to agree with this.

A Tory MP on question time said maybe they would have backed the vote if one of their party hadn’t been called scuuum. They really are a joke.

Yeah the dozy cow thought she was scoring points...but only ended up making it look like they voted against feeding kids because someone called them a name....

They really are that weak!

50 tweets so far (and still going) in a row sharing places that have offered free dinners for kids for the 2 weeks half term break on the back of his campaign.

Absolutely amazing. Imagine making a decision about whether children should go hungry based on the fact that one of your colleagues was called a nasty name. It beggars belief. This is one huge problem that I have with politicians - they are so ridiculously childish. The way that they carry on in parliament makes me sick; calling each other names and trying to point score and get a laugh out of the benches. Don't they ever just stop and look at themselves and think; I am in a serious position here. I am making decisions that impact on millions and millions of lives. Why am I behaving like a child?

My thoughts for what they are worth is that any child whose parent is either in some kind of welfare support, receiving sickness benefit or on minimum wage should have entitlement to “free” school meals.

Why it’s anything else is beyond me.

Local councils are now voting to step in and provide free school meals themselves.

As a teacher in a highly disadvantaged area (60% of the students I teach are on FSM) this is so important!

If you can lads, donate to a foodbank please it really is vital.

They can't really afford it, they are only talking about providing it next week but think they are trying to shame the govt into a long term strategy.

Christmas will be the real pinch point for the kids/families

what I don't understand is they asked footballers to do more at the start of the pandemic, they singled footballers out

now Rashford is doing this n they're basically telling him to bolt

Morgans nonsense on QT actually surprised me, mental to even admit that live on telly, not a good look at all

I thought that. Trouble is that if it’s a stunt (please take that the right way) to try and embarrass the government into just handing over more funds I just can’t see it happening.

In the grand scheme of things it’s minimal as was sorting the homeless issue during the first pandemic hit. That seems to have also fallen by the wayside.

Shame really as both these concerns were essentially a “gift” to Westminster which if they’d acted on and continued as policy would have given them universal acclaim.

Maybe I’m simple and don’t fully understand the repercussions but they both seem easy, popular and reasonable inexpensive policies to implement.

Another reason to miss crowds at football. At least twice a year and i know Celtic fans do the same there's a food bank collection before home games. They always do really well
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Our local supermarkets always had overflowing boxes and bins of product people donated.

They’ve been sealed off in case of infection. Our world has gone stark raving bonkers.
