Was just about to post that there's no way ANY of Broony, CalMac or Christie should be starting ... Broony's obviously toiling badly, and the last 2 badly need a rest. So, of course, Lenny picks all 3 ... as keeping his job is clearly more important than anything else.

See this is it. We know he won`t/can`t change. Yet the board back him. Senseless

If there are any further club breaches of the Covid rules, then it'll be dealt on the merits of that case.. and will no doubt take into consideration what happened today.

If there was too be a future incident and the club was docked points along with forfeiting the game.. They'd have zero redress as they have all signed up to the rules... And those rules state that the disciplinary panel have the power to deduct points amongst other punishments.

So they can just make it up as they go along then.

Cool

I see Brown is starting again 🤦‍♂️

That's surely just Lennon giving the fans the two fingers.. "I'll no be telt how to do my job"

He moans about Christie playing three games in a week and needing a rest.. yet won't rest him despite playing him three times in a week 🤦‍♂️

I feel for McGregor as he's got to cover three positions and a third of the pitch just now given that Brown is miles off the pace and Elyounoussi never tracks back.

Can see us being totally overrun in the midfield later and conceding a bucket load of goals

Not at all.. the rules are there plain and simple and every club signed up to them.

Each breach is treated on a case by case basis.

No two cases will be exactly the same so there's no one size fits all punishment. There also has to be more severe punishments as a possibility of clubs continue to breach the rules that are there to both keep staff safe and keep football going.

The Scottish Gov wouldn't think twice about calling a halt to football of they thought clubs were taking the preverbial, so the SPFL has to pre-empt that with strict punishments.

I guess scoring one more goal against a top Italian team than Slavia would be considered a good outcome

He's managed to turn things around.

10 in a row is back on.

Gerrard's job is on a shoogly peg!

I still see absolutely no valid reason why they cannot publish, say a simple three tier framework which lays out a few examples for each level of breach and the corresponding level of punishment.

It would make it clearer for everybody and take away a lot of the noise and debate. It would stop people comparing the Aberdeen and Celtic cases with the St Mirren case for example.

Each case can still be treated individually but at least you are starting out with a clear set of guiding principles and established categories of punishment.

Its hardly a revolutionary concept.

The issue with the ad hoc way it’s being done is when we or Celtic have a similar issue to killie or saints ffs windaes in if they dock old firm points this season
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly.

And if they have published a framework then everyone has visibility of the underlying principles behind the punishments.

It can only help consistency and reduce the noise around these decisions.
