Side v Chelsea?

Given the amount of money spent on an already expensive strike force I would expect a manager at the top of the game to at least find a way of scoring 1 goal in the 3 games against 'big 6' opposition.

Also what is this nonsense? Youll call me defensive again but who was our “already expensive strike force”? Tammy was a youth player, Hudson odoi a youth player, pulisic was out injured, giroud was cheap as chips. So who are these expensive players we had available beginning of season bar new signings?

Hence disingenuous, a lot of the points u have brought up to slate Lampard when actually looked into don’t hold any weight.

Give Lampard an average squad, he'd be sacked in months. Went sideways last season, went sideways at Derby. Over rated.

He had an average squad last season and got champions league and to an fa cup final

I take it you’re not being serious, right? How much do you think that squad was worth compared to an actual average squad? You’ve spent billions and how much have you spent this season, 300-400m? With little injury problems compared to Liverpool and Man City, you should be well clear at the top.

Great post, Faith. While there is understandable focus on the rivalry between the two managers, the men themselves will be unaffected by this and, for the players, it will be another day at the office.
This game is set up for Leeds to get at Chelsea and Spurs showed last week that their right flank is vulnerable when attacked at pace. Harrison will cause some damage and Bamford will be fired up to show his old employer what they have been missing.
However, I am not convinced that Ayling and Koch will manage the threat posed by Werner. He is razor sharp and was unlucky to be inches off when he shot past Lloris.
The game will be decided by who can control the midfield. Both teams have superb creative players and rock-hard stoppers in front of the defence, but we do have an edge in creating chances. Bamford has upped his game this season, but if Dallas, Klich, Harrison and Alioski can hit the target more often, we should expect a better return for our endeavours.
Chelsea, though, look better overall than every team we have played with the exception of Liverpool. There is a level of control in their play that we will struggle to match. They are not as dynamic as Liverpool, but they have players who can change a game in a moment. I expect us to see a lot of the ball, but Chelsea to use it more effectively.
A final factor to consider is KP's influence for us. It is no coincidence that we have two clean sheets in the last two games. He is immense. But will he be enough to make the difference?
This is going to be another wonderful game - we don't expect anything less from Leeds. I just hope that VAR isn't a talking point, that whatever the result, we see the very best of what the Premier League is all about.

"Tomorrow will be a baptism of fire for some of the Chelsea players. They might struggle to keep up with our pace and desire after playing midweek"

Didn't they play their reserves for that one?

I imagine there at most will start against you and one of them is their keeper!

We won’t be. Have our first team and settled formation now. We didn’t against Utd
----------------------------------------------------------------------
and your excuse against Spurs was? Worst game I have watched this season. Chelsea were awful.

If Bielsa had managed Chelsea last year they'd have won the league, if Fat Frank managed us we'd have finished no higher than mid table. We have the real deal, you have a celebrity.

The only team trying to win a game. It wasn’t a great spectacle at all. But that’s what two top teams do sadly, especially when only one is trying to win

doubt you'll have most of the ball. we wont sit back and hope for 0-0 like jose and the spurs.
i dont dislike frank at all because i admired him as a player but he gave leeds fans plenty of reasons to form an bad opinion of him.
think if we score on our bona fide good chances like we did against liverpool we'll have a real chance to win.one thing thats almost certain, it wont be a borefest like the spurs game. we play to entertain and have no pressure on us at all.
