Just looked him up. I'm sure we were linked with him back in 2014 but he signed for Wigan. He was a bit of a flop there too.

yea the name rang a bell post mentioning him, he was a massive failure at wigan, although that club in general were a struggle.

given he'd cost more or less the same as Josh King, I'd rather King and I don't really want him either

Yeah, I think Josh King would be a really good signing for us.

top line stat is 9 games and no goals in the championship but he's only played 378 minutes, so whats that 4 and a bit games

He does play out wide a lot too. Averages a goal every one in three or four games at Premier League level.

He could cover all the front three positions and go into rotation when everyone is fit. His contract is up in the summer so you could probably get him for about £10 million, perhaps £15 million. Seems a bit of a no brainer given our situation this season, but I imagine he will go somewhere like Everton as he is not our type of signing.

yea we get players back soon but we're still wafer thin, we do need something through the middle... but we won't get anything

Delort was a failure at Wigan but by all accounts has done well since going back to France. Reading that he was recently clocked as the fastest player in Ligue 1.

Austin Samuels another one to have his loan cut short. He made 14 appearances with Bradford City as a striker but the only goal he got was in a 7-0 win over Tonbridge in the fa cup. Guess he will go out on another loan, but players like him look a long way from the Wolves first team now

Given that all of the other players in Ligue One are not the fastest, I'm afraid that's not saying much is it?

mbappe and neymar aren't slow

I would love to see our quick boys contest a 50m sprint. I guess Adama would win but I doubt that Neto, Podence or Ait-Nouri would be far behind.

posted on 13/1/21

the short bust by Adama gets him clear, I reckon hes fastest over 50 but 100's would be Nouri for me

Unfortunately, all our defenders would be left in the starting blocks though.

They'd struggle with the high jump too.

Given the style of play big Sam is associated with, I’m sure he will have been encouraged by our vulnerability in the air

posted on 13/1/21

I hope so. I would rather he gets them to come out and play even if it means an aerial bombardment of our penalty area. Better that than he plays for a 0-0 and parks the bus for 90 minutes.

If Boly is back we should go with a back 3 of Boly, Coady and Kilman to get some height in there. Ait- Nouri and Semedo the wing backs, Neves and Dendoncker in the middle with Cutrone leading the line flanked by Neto and Traore.

Why is this on the transfer thread?

Twitter rumours strongly linking us with Brazilian striker Wilian Jose, 29 year old from Real Sociedad. Loan with option to buy.

Been around a bit, plenty of experience, looks like he's worth a dozen or so goals a season in La Liga. Sounds worth a punt if they can get him on loan, age might be a factor though.

who knows if that has legs, but Jose and king in with cutrone out would be a decent window
