Brighton usually play two up front, but have been utilising one striker more regularly recently because of injuries. That may dictate how we line up, especially with their three at the back system.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am assuming they will go with 3-4-3 against us. Probably the system they have used most this season. I hope that they do go with this as I think it will suit us and get the best out of Rodrigo pushed higher up the pitch. When we were last 4-4-2 against Everton it was Raphinha who played there because Rodrigo was isolating.

If Brighton do go 2 up top we will obviously revert to 3 at the back. We have really struggled with 3-3-3-1 this season. I think we struggle when we only have one 8 in the side.

If Brighton go 4-4-2 with a narrow diamond in the middle I have no idea how we will set up in response.

I suspect we will start with 4 at the back. When Struijk is in midfield he can just drop back to make a back three if we choose.

Drawing at home to Brighton would be embarrassing imo given we have Bielsa and spent around 100 million on transfers this season.

Brighton have spent x3-4 what we have over last few year

I agree, but 3-3-3-1 won't work at all against a narrow diamond. So what he does in front of the back three I have no idea. We went 3-5-2 against Sheff utd. If Brighton do go with narrow diamond the game could open right up, we like to focus on width and you would like to think we could overload in possession but they would dominate the middle. Personally I think they will cause us a lot more problems if they don't go 3-4-3 so I hope they do.

Maupay cost 400 million? They also played midweek away to Man C. Can't be losing at home to them. Would he nice to avoid another January from hell.

Very worrying.

Why did Bielsa lie in the press conference I wonder? As a club we seem to have an odd way of acknowledging positive covid tests

Must be a club policy to say nothing, Robert’s has had it and I remember when MB was asked about his absence he looked to the clubs media spokesman for guidance

I guess you probably can't go publicising individuals medical problems due to privacy. Not sure why MB didn't just say he was unavailable though. Pretty sure that's what he did with Roberts.
