I still say play VDB on the right. That is the best position he can contribute for us. His great skill is link up in tight spaces.

Yeah a couple of us mentioned this months ago. It's probably the best option at this point because he's not going to get anywhere near enough game time in his best position.

He's an intelligent footballer and shows some nice touches but it isn't happening at the moment for him. I do hope he gets another start midweek though. Just for his confidence.

I know he does, it was a tongue in cheek comment.
Nobody is saying he's not great, just that a fair chunk of his goals come from pens, which can't simply be dismissed as being the same as any other goal. They are the easiest way for a player to score on a pitch.
