Are you familiar with the word "fickle"?
Today's game does not make Pepe any better, or any worse, than many have discussed. He does not look comfortable in the PL type of play. A lot of money was spent of this guy and he has, for the most part, failed to deliver. I wonder where the scouting experts who influenced his signing are hiding?
There is a player in there but sometimes it's hard to defend him when his end product just isn't there enough of the time especially given what was paid for him. If you look at Saka he always makes the right choices. Improving his decision making is what he has to do if he wants to make it here.

If he can keep that up that level of intensity (apart from switching off for their goal) then he can be a real asset - but it's a pretty big if...
I've always said this, fans think 72 mil, he should be scoring or assisting every week, the fee was waaaaay to high clearly, hence why the guys that bought him were sacked. but, he is a decent player who can take on a player or 2 easily, that type of skill is not cheap.

I'm not saying Pepe will set the world alight after this. I'm simply acknowledging a good performance and the fact there is a good player in there, just a matter of getting it out of him, which is the managers job, whether he can do it or not remains to be seen.
You can tell the price tag weighs on him
He's a player who likes to take others on and has a chaotic style of running with the ball. Think part of the problem is him letting it get to him when he loses possession which can be helped with coaching but it's mainly up to him to overcome any mental barriers he might have.
For 72m though you'd expect him to be the difference in games rather than just playing well then the team is performing
72 mill was always silly money. I remember watching his goals before he left France and half of them were penalties. The other half didn't really display any crazy technical ability.

Well its fine if you think that. But unless you have a crystal ball, there's no way of knowing how it would have turned out if he went to City. So we are all just speculating here, one thing thats a fact though, is that he has bags of talent, enough talent to succeed at a big club, whether he does or not is another question.

There are hundreds of "posters" on this platform. If you have spent time evaluating all of us, then you need to get a hobby! Go volunteer at some charitable organization!

There is a player in there but sometimes it's hard to defend him when his end product just isn't there enough of the time especially given what was paid for him. If you look at Saka he always makes the right choices. Improving his decision making is what he has to do if he wants to make it here.
