They can add the money but it will still have to be accounted for over the next five years.
Spend £70m to £80m again like they did this season and I'll be happy enough myself.
I’d say that’s realistic if we make top 4 and can shift a few names off the growing list of deadwood at the club.
As is increasingly the case wages are a better barometer really.
Amazingly Matip, Ox, Tsimikas, Shaqiri and Origi are on circa £350k a week between them.
Yeah, ridiculous to be honest when you consider how little they contribute.
Some of these cant be right surely?

Davies and Nat Phillips on £60k?

No way is Mane on 100k.

Robertson earning less than Davies is my favourite
Nat Phillips 60k is a lie
This is more realistic:

Jones will be getting a raise soon surely.
So if we put Trent in midfield, our midfielders in defence, maybe we should give Mo a go in goal?

Because he’s good at diving?
Midfielders shouldn't hang round in the final 3rd. They should be with the play.

I've always thought of Trent being a midfielder playing right back I think.
He's got mad skills as well though. As said if we could get the likes of Pereira or something I think it'd work well. He's rarely injured as well which is becoming a bit of a novelty.
I actually think Trent will be a midfielder too, but please not this season!
(As a caveat I’ll admit I also thought Glen Johnson should have been too at some point )

No one has said this season. Should hopefully be a consideration for pre season training.
Who would he take the place on next season out of Thiago, Henderson, Fabinho and Jones in the midfield?
Or would it just be a case of retrain so he can become an option for the midfield role?

You play your best 3 and if that is Trent then so be it.
Klopp will probably start with the 3 he wanted this season in Hendo, Fab and Thiago.
I know Trent wants to play in midfield. I know his skillset makes him a good midfielder.
When he's in that withdrawn wide right role and whips in those crosses...it's very similar to Gerrard & KDB and yes a lot of our play runs through him as well (though I feel we haven't been using him enough this season but he's been good these past few weeks)
I just don't know if his concentration levels are ready for a midfield role. Not to say he can't adjust over time.

He's playing right back where one mistake could lead to a goal. Don't think concentration will be an issue.
The time you have on the ball in midfield is far less than in defence or out wide. Trent's current role in the team actually plays to his strengths.
The only problem currently is that he can't alternate with Henderson when he wants to come infield and obviously he's also missing Henderson defensive qualities.
