Happy for Stevie. He needed some time to build and take over the Celtic monopoly which Rangers allowed him and as a result he has shown his class and stopped Celtic winning 10 in a row.

Honestly gutted we missed out on the 10 but fair play they have deserved it no doubt, he had his detractors up until this season but he's done what was needed and deserves respect for that

Gerrard has done well to break the Celtic monopoly, I didn’t think he would manage to do it but he’s done it emphatically. Doing really well in Europe too. He’s made a bright start to his managerial career.

Was surprised how well they’ve done in Europe. Haven’t been beaten in a huge number of games and easily topped their group.

Strikes me as the kind of person who would be a success whatever he does.

I only judge managers in scotland by their record in europe. You cannot judge a celtic manager after 9 years of titles on winning another one.

3rd in CL group, out in round of 32 europa
4th in CL group

nothing brilliant there.

then look at gerrard in europe
last 16 of europa this year
last 16 of europa
3rd in europa group -vienna, villareal, spartak moscow.

for me if anything gerrard has actually done pretty well there. A club like rangers fighting for last 16 of europa is not too bad.

there is an attitude that scotland is big but in reality with the resources available and the siutation theres no god given right to anyhting given the standards.

the last time that celtic did anything was 2012/13 where they got out of CL group. (and lennon was manager)


for me celtic have imploded, this is 100% clear but rangers can only deliver what they can do and they are 27-4-0 add that to last 16 of europa and still in it. well Gerrard can do absolutely nothing more can he? 2nd, 2nd, 1st. I would say he'd like to get to QF of europa and win the scottish cup too.

If i were him i'd be bailing out of scotland asap.

He's improved us year on year, generally made good signings. Everyone we paid decent money for has been a success.

I would back him to guide us at least into the Europa QFs but honestly we're capable of winning it with some luck and top form.

I think he will want a crack at the Champions League next season at Rangers, wouldn't be surprised if that was his last one but much will depend on when Klopp goes i suspect.

As you are probably aware I am not a fan of Stevie Me but hats off to him for the job he has done at Rangers.

Far surpasses anything BR did with Celtic.

I have no doubt he will be taking over from Klopp in due course.
