Supposedly nailed on for top 4 by who? Certainly
Not chelsea. Beginning of the season we had no clue what to expect

I'll admit I'm wrong, a week or so ago I said Liverpool and Leicester were nailed on for top four, that's now looking pretty silly.

I've now got absolutely no idea who is going to make it. Probably not spurs as we've left it too later with too much to do, but Sandy is right, it's not unthinkable.

So many clubs that you could make a case for that I'd say it's impossible at this stage to predict it. You could genuinely end up with City / Everton / West Ham / Spurs

There was another article in this board yesterday claiming Spurs will do well to finish 8th, and today we have this article claiming Spurs can get into top 4?

Talk about fickle fans!

How about we just take it a game at a time?

Well Chelsea spent £250 million pre season, so if you are spending that much, top four should be a minimum. Most pundits had Chelsea down as top four pre season.

Cannot really say Spurs have left it to late mate, as I said Spurs could be within two points of Chelsea win their game in hand, and nine games to play. Anything could happen in those last nine games, and Spurs for once have very few injuries, which is very unusual. Spurs will have the same chance as every other team in and around the top eight/nine positions.

It’s not unthinkable but it’s still unlikely. We still pretty much have to win most our games which I don’t trust we will. There are far to many teams fighting for that spot. 2nd and 3rd we are still very far behind. Let’s not go overboard here just yet. 2 wins v Burnley and Fulham still hasn’t convinced me.

After the game in hand, wouldn't we have 11 still to play rather than 9?

Palace should be a routine win and that puts us in the mix.

The next two, Arsenal and Villa will give us a good idea of how realistic top 4 is. 4 points from them and I'll start feeling a bit more upbeat.

No doubt our rivals will drop plenty of points, but we probably still need something like 2 points per game to get top 4, which is very difficult.

Wouldn't worry me if United won, Spurs have already smashed them 6-1. I can dine out on that for a bit yet.

Sorry, you are right, which makes it even better. 33 points up for grabs, even puts Leicester and United well in reach, especially as Spurs have to play both.

Our rivals still have to play quite a few games against each other as well, so they cannot all win.
