England have obviously had a kind draw but deservedly beat Colombia and Sweden to get to their semi final, and even if we lost to Croatia it would be a successful tournament based on pre tournament expectations.

But we've beaten all three of the other semi finalists before, and lost to all of them before, so we definitely have a chance of going all the way.

Fan thinks we won't win because we're not good enough, that's fine, but momentum plays a big part in things like this. Champions League winners aren't always the best side in the competition. Bloody Greece won Euro 2004. Portugal were garbage for most of Euro 2016 and won it. So Fan is either massively biased or just naive if he thinks England have no chance.

Kane has been England's best player, imagine if we get to the final he'll be player of the tournament. Between him and Modric anyway imo

Maybe Hazard too if Belgium get there

Other than those 4 none have really stood out imo, open to your suggestions though, imagine you'd be going for Mbappe but can't think of anyone that's ever won it off the back of one game before

If Kane isn't doing much what is every other striker in the tournament doing

In this case though I just say it how I see it. Has been a very average World Cup, with the inevitable result of four average teams left over

Would have gone Griezmann over Mbappe, France’s key player so far baring the Argentina game. Pickford over Courtois too imo

Not sure about Marcelo either, but can’t think of any standouts there tbh

Marcelo was good in every game he played. Obv missed one but no one else been as good as him that I can think of

Definitely not Pickford, not dealt with enough. Been good but not as good as Courtois or even Lloris.

Mbappe impressed me a good bit more than Griezzman tbh. Has been the player dragging them forward more often from what I’ve seen
