Portsmouth 0 - 2 Arsenal
Cavani(Foden), Goretzka(Malcom)
MOTM - Goretzka
On the league agree we don’t need a reset, if we cut the teams that’s almost as good as one. I’d add
Auction for all players of teams being cut
Possibly play offs to finish the season as if we finish with this many walk overs the league is redundant anyway?
See if Welshy or LC take Liverpool
I can keep the three teams to make sure tactics are in
Tino having family issues atm
Ludy not sure what he is doing
As for Auctions, think the likes of Pepe, Rashford etc could be auctioned
and am all for Ferland, de Ligt etc being auctioned to the league even if they join Madrid, Barca etc
Just the Chelsea game to do if anyone can manage
If league continues this season it’s just going to be more of the same and end places won’t matter imo
I think all players of the relegated teams should be auctioned
Can’t just be a select few. Only fair way to do it
Think Chelsea and Leicester should just have a best of 3 play off for the title, seems unnecessary to drag the season out for another 5 weeks or so with so many vacant teams
Then just aim to finish the remaining few rounds of Europe and the FA Cup for those still involved
Can then focus on deciding what teams to cut and which players to auction. Auctions available to all or are we keeping Champions League only etc for certain players?
If we’re letting de Ligt and Ferland in then I guess we’ll have to cut Europe next season and only have domestic
Also cuts the longevity of the league so we will have to reset soon if we’re letting those player in
As long as auctions are restricted to players moving in real life I can't see it cutting the longevity of the league personally
Likes of Ferland, Ndombele, Joao Felix and even de Ligt to a degree were hardly household names a season or two ago. With the focus predominantly being on youth there's always going to be new kids on the block that will spike interest in auctions.
Not like we're letting the likes of Messi, Pique, Kroos etc in
something to discuss anyway
I want to cut Europe anyway
top 8 qualify
Top 4
Second 4
2 from each group make up Group A and Group B
top 2 qualify for Champs League
bottom 2 qualify for Europa League
so whats that 9 games
These guys possibly are the new Messi, Pique etc is my point. They’re in their thirties, so likely on way out
all up for discussion anyway, I am not a dictator
In reality though there's always new stars popping up, recently the likes of Mbappe, Sancho and now the latest breed.
Point being there's always going to be a new hotshot in town which is going to keep the interest up in auctions.
Seems silly to prevent these players entering the league as you're then ultimately in danger of the league becoming stale with all the top stars being hogged by the top clubs. I'd personally be open to auctions being available to all which would really shake things up as some of the lower sides could land a superstar although appreciate that there may be opposition to that idea.
Well I want to take the Euro teams out of the league, so don't mind if they join or not, but will go with the majority
so anyone fancy taking Liverpool. until end of season at least?
I'll create a Liverpool page by the weekend
Jerome Boateng
Eric Bailly
Cristian Pavon
Raul de Tomas
Andre Silva
Dennis Man
Yann Karamoh
Nathan Redmond
Joe Hart
Open to cash offers for the above
Looks as though its a straight shoot out between PSG & Barca for de Ligt, can see the pros and cons for both although I'd be surprised if he turns down a move to Barca!
Better of going to PSG for a better chance of first team football
He’ll want to go to Barca
I’d imagine so, is he best mates with De Jong?
He'll be guaranteed first team football and a boatload of money at PSG. Although he'll exposed a lot more defensively due to their cavalier approach.
A move to Barca makes sense, spend a season learning the ropes and rotating in and out of the side. Safe in the knowledge that he's ultimately being lined up as the heir to Pique and could comfortably spend the next 10 years or so at the club.
Think he'd be looking to move on again in a few years time if he did go to PSG.
Yeah apparently him and de Jong are besties
Agree with that TAB
Doesn’t seem like a money grabber so can’t see anything other than a Barca move. Makes sense to improve there too.
