They wouldn’t go big for VVD, so unlikely they will for anyone though

Newcastle v Norwich City

Good game between two footballing sides in which the vibrant looking visitors took the lead in superb fashion. A tactical foul by Kante seemed a smart play at the time as he broke up a swift counter attack from the visitors. The Frenchman however may have underestimated the long rang prowess of Harry Wilson as the Welshman stepped up to smash a free-kick home from 30 yards.

The visitors defended valiantly as the home side piled on the pressure however parity was restored just before half time, great vision from Jorginho picked out the run of Mane and he made no mistake with a powerful finish. 1-1 at halftime.

The second half was very much one way traffic as the home side pushed for a winner. Some superb last ditch defending by the visitors kept the game level however the high powered Newcastle attack eventually broke their resistance, Robertson flying up the left wing before whipping in a superb cross which was clinically dispatched by Firmino to earn his side the points.

Newcastle 2-1 Norwich City
Mane (Jorginho, 44) Firmino (Robertson, 72)
Wilson (FK, 27)
MOTM - Mane

The wife wants to move to a house, i keep telling her it’s very dangerous and can easily be broken into and everything gets nicked

I think flats are better cuz we have a 24hr concierge downstairs, team of 6 24 hour security walking around the whole development and obviously a mail room for packages

Am I blind to some advantages a house will have over flats?

posted on 15/11/19

I’d never considered the idea you would live in a flat over a house because of the idea it’s more secure.

Flats surely get broken into just as often as houses. You must have too much valuables in your flat to say that. If someone really wanted to burgle your flat or rob you they could.

London really isn’t that dangerous that the idea of living in a flat/house should be a question.

Places like St. John’s wood seem to get burgled or a car nicked on a weekly basis

Other flats I agree yes, the last place I lived was like that

I bought this flat because if anyone was to attempt they’d have to walk past concierge without looking dodgy, get through the first set of lifts that will only move with fob access, second set of doors on a podium level which also requires fob access

It’s not that, cuz I have it locked away offsite somewhere. It only needs to happen once to leave permanent psychological damage someone with a knife in your home telling you to open a safe

Insurance covers anything in a safe. If it meant more to you than monetary value you wouldn’t keep it locked away surely.

And fair if you feel that’s a big concern for you. Could far more easily happen to you on the street and have even worse impact. No way to live if you ask me.

Know someone in a similar boat who was targeted leaving a property, he chucked keys over a wall. They battered him, and got the keys anyway
