Tonali being linked with Juve now Pirlo is the new Juve manager. A midfield 3 of

-------------------Tonali-----------------------
---------Arthur-----------Bentancur------

looks

With Matuidi leaving and Rabiot being linked with a move away a move to Juve would be more beneficial than a move to Inter imo, who are already well stacked in midfield. And what better way for Tonali to improve than to work under the tutelage of Pirlo!

Tonali is more box to box than Pirlo so should be next to those two no?

posted on 10/8/20

If you say so! I still need to watch a full game of Tonali to get a better view of his playstyle etc. Can only go on by youtube for now!

Only going on his say so to be honest, think he described himself as being more like Gattuso than Pirlo. Although obv he looks to be a set piece specialist like Pirlo. So he will likely be a hybrid of the two!

Is there no loyalty in Italy anyway

Gattuso playing most of his career at Milan - manages Napoli

Pirlo playing most of his career in Milan - manages juve

Conte playing most of his career in juve - manages inter

Imagine gerrard managing arsenal lampard managing Liverpool keane managing Chelsea

Looks like Odegaard could be returning to Real, reckon he’ll get much of a look in Nadz?

It depends tbh. Modric is nearly 35 and while still a top player, we need to look to the future in the centre of midfield. Ødegaard has been brilliant for Sociedad but he will need to sharpen up his defensive skills if he wants to make that CM Modric role his. Kroos still has a couple of years at the top left in him and him and him and Casemiro are the definite starters so will be between Ødegaard/Valverde for that remaining CM role. And we still have Isco aswell who will be ahead of Ødegaard. My personal preference would be to play (won't happen tho)

--------------------Casemiro----------------------
--------Odegaard---------Valverde-----------

Play Ødegaard against the weaker teams and if he can improve the defensive aspect of his game he could become a top CM. Still think another season at Sociedad would be the best plan for him tho.

That midfield just doesn’t look like Real quality to me. Valverde has been off his game since restart, only really performed well for a few months. Him and Odegaard both shown quality, but Real quality is something else!

Don’t think Odegaard would have to worry about defensive part of his game so much if you had both Casemiro and Valverde anyway.

Was surprised Isco didn’t play against City, but Zidane was playing him on wing a lot this season and it obv hasn’t been as good.

Isco is still one of my most favourite players at Madrid. He hasn't hit the heights of the 17/18 season which was probably his best season but still a world class player. Looks like he's being linked with a move away and I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to leave.

Can see the benefit of another year playing regularly at Sociedad but bringing Odegaard back early gives him extra time to adjust and a season interchanging with Modric before eventually replacing him. Can def see the logic

Was surprised to see Vinicius not get a look in against City, Hazard clearly not fit and always looks far more dangerous than Rodrygo whenever I’ve seen him play
