Should add, I loved it growing up with the Attitude era, but couldn't stomach watching it now tbh.

Do they still do the bra and panty matches?

Not PC enough.

Even the TLC matches aren't the same now they have to wear PPE and follow the '3 points of contact' rules on the ladders.

The last match I watched I'd recommend.

Edge vs. Orton hyped as the Greatest Ever Wrestling Match (almost an hour). It wasn't that but it's worth a watch, started slow but built up very nicely

Attitude Era's only good for nostalgia factor I've found. I can imagine a kid who didn't grow up through it retrospectively watching matches & wondering what all the fuss was about? Cos a lot of the matches themselves - kind of meh tbh.

I did the same frequently with matches from the Hogan era as a teen. You clearly had to live through the era to appreciate it cos a lot of his big matches were sooooooooo slow & sh!t

Where as I agree to an extent devil, it’s no different to watching ur favourite tv series episodes again. And the attitude era was the best episodes. It’s a soap opera or sitcom at the end of the day. So the best storylines usually mean the best episodes. even if I enjoyed the Bret hart, Sean Michael’s, Kurt angle and other technical wrestlers.

I don't believe I've actually re-watched an episode of Raw in full of the Attitude Era since the early 00's (probably should actually), but anytime I re-watch an individual match or segment, I can't quite explain why but it's never as good as I remembered it being at the time. It's great in the sense it takes my back in time, but the context itself just doesn't feel the same - and that's removed from the crash TV elements definitely making it feel dated.

The one exception though is WM17. The definition of a timeless wrestling show! The ultimate recommend OP if you'd somehow forgotten about it

Probably the best wm there’s been.

Devil have a few drinks and then have a watch. It’s my go to when I’m home drunk after a night out lol

Undertaker Vs Shawn Michaels wrestlemania 25 & 26 both epics.

Basically you can't go far wrong with any Shawn Michaels match since his come back in 2002.

Actually speaking of Shawn Michaels, his match with Hogan at Summer Slam 2005.

That was epic! Fackin hilarious

Every time I watch I keep thinking, VAR? Would overturn a lot of decisions! Maybe they need to do a VAR angle, with a special guest assistant every week

The invasion episode of Raw where Shane turned heel and ECW showed up was probably my favourite one. Shortly after WrestleMania 17.

The whole invasion storyline is probably the peak of WWE.

The only thing that happened after that, that was interesting was CM Punk's pimp bombs.

Everything after that is just okay. Nothing special.

Reports of Punk & Bryan going to AEW emerging.

Window of opportunity for them if they pull it off. TNA never really pushed on when they acquired Kurt Angle, need to learn from their mistake.

Don't know if anyone would pay attention to this, but rather than re-watching old episodes I would strongly recommend watching the videos on YouTube produced by Wrestling Bios. His 'Reliving the War' series where he does a weekly 30-40 minute show comparing Raw and Nitro is excellent.
