He is a class act. Great memories and only good wishes for Gianni and his family.
That’s a lovely message
Seems genuine and I honestly wouldn’t care what club he goes to next he goes with our best
100% LUFC. Like Bera and Pabs, one of us, always. What a fabulous couple of seasons he's given us.
I wish you and your family every success, Gianni, except when you play against us.
Loved him but if it wasn't for money he'd have joined them...….doesn't sit right with me
I hate them too mate
And I get why it wouldn’t feel right to us as fans who lived through it
But Alioski was a young boy and nothing to do with us at the time. Everything that has followed that he has witnessed with us has had no link to Galatasary but history
I’d not like to see it, but if he had gone there - I would accept it and say it’s fair enough for hin
I get he was only a kid at the time but he's been around the club long enough and stood through the minutes silences etc...….he knows what it means.
He always come across how much he loves the club and seemed to 'get it'...…...but coming within an inch of signing for them I just cant get past. Its obvious he hasn't released a statement about leaving until now because he probably thought he was going there.
It is what it is but it leaves a sour taste for me.
We needed to upgrade, but was valuable player for us on and off the pitch and I wish him nothing but th best in his future career.
I don't think he he was a great player for us, he certainly had his moments though.
& agree with Gelderd, not the best of choices of clubs for any Leeds player, but I get it's a good move for him in terms of money, but just doesn't quite sit right.
Why are we so quick to look at his limitations? He made thirty appearances for us last season alone, and scored some vital goals. Bielsa obviously thinks differently to some of the posters on this board.
Yeah no one is saying he was a poor player, but he was fairly limited in terms of quality. Great fitness and determination was big plus factor for him. We need better at LB though, as Jonty pointed out.
He surprised me tbh. I was adamant he would be a complete liability if used as a left back and in the end he was a very solid option for us
Yes he had a mistake in him but he proved he was a PL level left back who had some enigmatically class moments.
You never quite knew when the ball dropped to him if he would do something shockingly bad or brilliant
I won’t lie, I felt it was a position we needed to improve on. But would have been happy with him as a squad player. To a degree he was almost caught in between being slightly too attacking for a LB and not good enough as a left winger
Well, he's not even gone to Gala. Good.
Gone to Al-Ahli, good move for him in terms of finishing his career and earning some good money.
