Any prem side, apart from possibly city, who plays a total B team would struggle to win most games on a European stage against other sides first team. We knew we would lose as soon as we left the first team home. The club knew that too and were comfortable with it, and in my opinion it is clearly the correct decision.
Most of the players who played v Newcastle had a tough international schedule just before That game and we have a very testing week ahead.
Winks
Sanchez
Davies
Lo Celso
Dele
Dier
Doherty
All still at the club.
We rightly sold Sisokko and Aurier.
Need to shift at least 2 of those in Jan.
Then 3 next summer

Well Dier isn’t going anywhere, he has been first choice under Poch, Jose and now Nuno.
Personally I’d keep Lo celso and Sanchez, they are good enough squad players.
The rest have to go though

The problem with saying they are “squad players” is nights like tonight when we need squad players to actually play.
Buy players that are better than those in their position in the first team👍 Or at least aim to - levy doesn’t
It’s a bit like how boris Johnson runs the country. Keep saying everything is alright and people will stop believing what their eyes tell them
Spurs have allowed this decline to happen over the last three years. We are going to be mid table if we carry on this way.
Of the back up team probably only possibly lo celso, tanganga and Stevie b have a chance of breaking into the first team, that’s the problem. The gap between first team and second team is too large.
