Well now that the most pointless fixture

We've thrown away all our matches against Chelsea on and off the pitch.

Thought we did well first half, but that was a very limited team. Should have a few back after the break and absolutely need signings. Top 4 is up for grabs but we're miles behind the top 3.

As a perspective, Chelsea have spent £2.2bn pm their players. Obscene money when you think lots of famine in the world, but hey ho, the glory hunters don't care,]We were denied a blatant goal when you think how much argy-bargy they get away with in their box.
It was an impossible task made harder by the dodgy and pitiful ref

For what it's worth I think you'll get 4th. It's between yourselves and United for me and they're as inconsistent.

Any possible business done this month really could be pivotal for sides chasing that last CL place

To be honest it would be pointless Spurs getting in the CL with the current squad, not good enough, wouldn`t make it out of the group. If they can bring in three or four quality players over the next two windows, then it would make a massive difference.

Tanganga gotta go. We can’t have him using the first team as his training ground. Either loan him or sell him. It’s constant mistakes every game and we just can’t have it any more.

We know that Doherty etc ain’t good enough. Jury been out on tanganga a while but this last month the verdict has been reached

I agree sandy the current squad would struggle at that level. Time for levy to splash the cash but will he

To be fair Tanganga is not the only player that needs to go. Winks, Davies, Doherty, Sessignon are all so average. All need replacing if Spurs are to really compete.

Do you remember when Spurs had top quality players like Toby, Verts, Walker, Eriksen, Dembele etc, and now you have dross like the above. It`s not exactly rocket science to see how average a lot of Spurs players are in the big games, they are simply not good enough. Players that were considered squad players three or four years ago, have now become 1st teamers.

United will sneak top 4 now I would have money on

Far better players than spurs and arsenal. We have some quality ones but think the system and having a favourable run recently has masked the bad defenders at the club. Dier and Romero need to get back up to speed quick.

Midfield is so limited and weak, gets out numbered with only 2 in there and hardly like like can use the ball well to make up for it. Weird to not stick to the 352, all he had to do was drop Skipp for Tanganga, perhaps he had a knock?

Don't think any of them are going anywhere mate unfortunately. Maybe Doherty if someone's mad enough to buy him.

Ndombele and maybe Dele will go. We'll only bring in Traore who isn't going to sort the midfield or defence out or back up Harry kane.

Not in this window, very unlikely, we are nearly out of January, and not one player has left, and I doubt any will be incoming.

Tanganga is all endeavour no ability and should be moved on.

Skipp isn’t good enough to have made much difference imo he’s squad filler at best.

United are not that good, and they have a tough 2nd half of the season. I would not completely write off Spurs, but some of those current players need seriously upgrading.

Problem with today is that you are playing a decent side, so at least you have to put out your best available team, even if you have a few injuries. Conte clearly did not do that, so the result was inevitable as it always is.

Skipp is still better than Winks. But I get in the long run both may need to be replaced.

I called it hours before the game, stating that the Spurs players had ALL lost this game in their mind before even arriving at SB.

I agree it does not help when you are also playing the officials in certain games, this being one, and only hope, like me, you all made a few bob at the bookies. Clearly this fixture is an excuse to print money.

Nailed on penalty ignored, and in fact blown as a foul for you. Tanganga on a booking, trying to pull down CHO and the ref ignores it. Leg breaking tackle on Sarr that VAR looked at and somehow decided wasn't a red card.

Another foul on CHO that was waved away so that Spurs could attack. When we won the ball back and looked to try and break, THEN the ref decided to blow the whistle.

But sure, let's focus on the disallowed goal, where Kane put his hand on Silva's back. Was it a soft foul? Yes, no question. But if he hadn't have put his hand there, would he have been able to stop in time to collect the ball?

Blame Kane if you want to blame anyone, he was the one that gave the ref the chance to chalk the goal off.

And are you trying to claim that the Silva goal today was an OG? Take another look, that was his goal all day long. None of your defenders got close to it.

Skipp was possibly our best player after Kane & Dier when he came on.

The tackle on Sarr was a foul, possibly a booking but no where near a sending off offence.

I am still amazed how both Azpilucueta & Mount stayed on the pitched after telling the referee to f*ck off on several occasions.
On the penalty, I agree but no referees these days give one for holding or as I call it “rugby tackling” and it is something that needs to be eradicated from the game.
Yet Kane was penalised for barely touching Thiago who went down as if he had been hit by a bus!

In recent weeks Chelsea have dropped points against Brighton (twice), Wolves, Everton and needed a last minute winner against Leeds so I don't think it's too much to expect us to give them a game.

They must think all their birthdays and Xmas have come at once when they are due to play us.

We are so weak minded, let's hope Conte can change that (I won' t hold my breath).
