One “e” in Kirchner, there’s only one “e” in Kirchner

Have some respect and get his name right, View. Fabulous news but won’t be cracking open the champagne until it is all done including the stadium.

Conditional on the sale of the stadium, ftefl approval and receiving secured creditor consent.
Completion on or before May 31st.
So still a way to go.

The local business man trying to buy the ground is a very die hard fan and has plenty of funds to buy it.

Yes, all done and dusted except for the minor inconvenience of having somewhere to actually play ...

But apparently that's no problem, even if it seems to have been for many days now. Very odd.

Possibly this relates to the mystery wealthy diehard Rams fan who is going to buy the ground out of the goodness of his heart, the Council dotting Is and crossing Ts in its efforts to secure the stadium, or else it is yet another tactic to pile moral pressure on Morris to cave in with his demands. If the latter, I don't think it's gonna work.

Any chance of a free meat pie next season? If its not up to much, I can always slap it on Spart's noggin.

Like all of us, I hope this is a conclusion to the nightmare.
I dont know how, or even if, this is going to succeed, but good luck CK. Thank you for your persistence and openness with the fans.
Hopefully, it takes the club away from a circling vulture, who has no interest in the club, wishes to use it as a billboard for his brand and exploit the loyalty of its fans for his own benefit.

A cynic might think that they've made this announcement to appease Derby fans and buy them a bit more time.

One would like to assume that everything is in place just waiting to be signed but this The admins, Derby, Mel and Fawaz (sorry Kirchner) that's not to mention a huge whack of debt including nearly £30m to HMRC.

I hope he's not a chancer, but I wouldn't start spending his pennies just yet, Rams.

But Mike Ashley is also interested ...

You would think that a Forest fan would have other things on his mind than Derby County, today of all days, but you would be wrong. It's an unhealthy obsession.

The EFL Board has today given its conditional approval to the proposed acquisition of Derby County Football Club by the company controlled by Mr Chris Kirchner (9CK Sports Holdings Limited).

The EFL and 9CK Sports Holdings Limited have agreed the terms of a Membership Agreement which will govern the conditions attached to the transfer of the share in the EFL and which ultimately will see the Club exit Administration.

However, its final approval is subject to Mr Kirchner completing on the Asset Purchase Agreement and a deal being finalised in respect of a lease on the stadium by 31 May 2022.

The EFL will continue to work with the relevant parties to ensure the best possible outcome for Derby County, its staff, players, fans, and local community.

So we are leasing the ground from Alan B/stard.
I do not care much for that arrangement at all.
He is having his pound of flesh.

I've just received a text saying the stadium deal is done. Nothing on social media just yet to validate, anyone heard anything to confirm this?

Afternoon all,

Latest update I got, ( how sound the source is time will tell ) is that Clowes are interested and in the process of completing the transaction.

Why they've been advised to say they are not instead of ' no comment' I'm not entirely sure.

Fingers crossed this saga comes to an end early next week so that we can start dreaming about players coming in ( and retaining the nucleus of the current squad ideally.)

Enjoy your weekend.

...must admit I thought that "may" be the case... let's face it no one is going to admit to it until its a done deal. You don't show your hand until you're ready... so... fingers crossed 🤞...UTR

If Clowes are interested I imagine that the interest in all probability lies with the majority shareholder personally; ie it would be a personal, not a company investment. This may explain why the Clowes official, when asked, said he knew nothing about it. Why would he?

Of course I may be completely wrong!
