Hope Lawrence goes. I always supported him against the criticism even when he was off form after the death of his mother, His disgusting actions on leaving Keogh unconscious in the crashed car and getting sent off for stupid offences have made me change my mind. Had he a brain he would probably be a Premier League player. CKR would be better to retire. We need to retain some experience, these young lads have to learn how to win games.

I know Tom was given the Captaincy this year but that has tended to disguise the fact that he just doesnt [for me] do enough on the pitch. I dont like to slag off any of our players - but he has never lived up to expectations. He can score wonder goals and then disappears for 5 or 6 games. I agree we need someone to get us 20 goals a season. I think Gregory scored 17 for the Wendies - which surprised me a little. Certainly there's no one in the current squad who remotely looks like getting double figures....

If you believe all the gossip about
Davies-Hull Bristol
Byrne Preston Millwall Stoke
Allsop Cardiff
Lawrence various
Plus, replace almost a full team we had to part with a the start of last season.
We have got to find a hell of a lot of people to bring in, just to get a decent squad together, plus there is still no sign yet of CK coming up with any cash for Pride Park.
this must be the longest takeover since the creation of the universe

I would be very happy if all the players Terry names stay on except maybe TL and CKR. My doubts about TL have been voiced by Terry but I also wonder whether TL is the wrong type of player for League 1.
I like CKR but he seems to like to move a lot and I'm not convinced WR really rates him. If he was more of a goal scorer I would certainly want him to stay. He has hinted that he will be leaving and I suspect WR has told him to look elsewhere.

Flint would be a useful addition as I reckon at least one bruiser will be needed. I agree that midfield needs strengthening and maybe we could see the return of Shinnie. Top priority - at least one genuine striker. (I do hope Stretton will get fit, stay fit and show us what he can do.)

Ah transfer rumours....how I've missed you!

Players we've been allegedly linked to

Aden Flint
Bardsley
Tom Barkhuizen
Gregory

I really wouldn't mind Flint and/or Bardsley if WR thinks he could do a job at this level. Flint was one of the best Champ CBs a few seasons ago but injuries have hindered him.

Tom Barkhuizen looked useful for PNE last season but it's been an injury plagued one this season I believe given his lack of games. He got 8 goals in 2020-2021 but 0 this season. I think there's better out there.

Gregory is the type of CF we require. He's got L1 experience and managed 18 goals ( as mentioned above ) last season. A gamble but with Andy Carroll released at WBA could he be an option on a pay as you play basis?

A hint of a return for Shinnie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🙌

Would love Shinnie to come back, and Roberts I also think that WR can be trusted to get the right stuff in to cobble a decent squad together, rather than rush into the market like he had to last year.
Keep the faith.

I'm still worried about CK, so until that gets sorted I don't know who we will have in the team next season. Pity we can't get some money for some of our expensively bought players.

I have always been concerned about CK and am getting more dubious the longer this goes on.
I would have thought they knew how much Alan B/stard is asking, and they have either got it or not, or whether they are prepared to pay that much or not, as the case may be. I may be wrong, and I hope I am, but I think he is over his head on this one

The green light has been given for Wayne to be given the freedom of the city of Derby.
This will be ratified at a later council meeting.

If we’re really struggling I might manage 10 minutes before a cardiac arrest.

That's about 5 minutes longer than Abdoul Camarra and 9 nimutes longer than Ashley Cole.

I can't help feeling sorry for Burnley. They were surviving well and then get sold to a consortium, who borrowed money from their assets and are now in a right old pickle and look like ending up like us.

Burnley went up the year Dawkins was brought on at Wembley when Bamford should have been. And when the worst ref in the world sent Martin off and disallowed a good goal. It should have been us going up and we would be making our way to Paris to play Real Madrid. Ole.

I'll be a Terrier for the day. I think Forest have been the best side in the league for the second half of the season, but I still want what's right. Come on Town.

BTW John Percy has put out a Tweet claiming Kirchner deal is all but done, deal with "local businessman" to buy stadium agreed (presumably Clowes). Kirchner tweeted earlier and specifically thanked Mel which I think is very telling. He must have Tweeted through clenched fingers or whatever part of the body he uses for such things.

Well having been to Wembley twice in recent years and lost both times due to bad luck and the Manager picking the wrong team much can depend on "the day". So yes I think all Rams fans will be become Udders fans for the day... but really not sure who will win...hope its you guys...
