Lukaku was a Roman signing, he never wanted to come in the first place. Roman sent on his son to persuade him personally.
It was a mistake, few Chelsea fans that I know wanted him, myself included however he came so I wanted him to succeed.
He started well enough then we had COVID issues and he got injuredm. He came back from injury and looked really sharp, for two games. Then came that interview, he was dropped and after that was never close to early form except for the last 2 or three games. Partly I blame the supporting cast, he got himself into decent enough positions but was rarely given the ball. As poor as he was I don't blame him totally.
Be interesting to see who we get to replace him and o hope the Sterling talk is just the usual media click bait.

Not all players will move for less wage just to play. Lukaku wants to go back to the one club he’s felt happy at, that isn’t something other players get the option to have. He’s also got a WC coming up in a few months and needs to play, probably wont get fat for it like he chose to for the last WC though.

I think that may well be a fair observation. Apparently a lot of hazard struggles at real are of his own doing, excessive partying that has left him out of shape and not helping with injuries so perhaps he just got their and thought f it. Its possible.
