Overhype Overload

I think you'll be surprised by his current levels if you get him. Don't buy into the BS theory he 'carried' us last season.

When we didn't have the ball I barely saw him move all season. A huge reason why teams found us so easy to play against. CB's just have all the time in the world to pick passes, We also looked a better side the two previous seasons without him.

He's a legend and the GOAT but he's not winning you the league or the CL at nearly 38.

I still wouldn't want to see him play for another PL side but that's because of who he is and what he's done for us.

I doubt Tuchel will be keen on him either.

Scores big goals in big moments and by any measure will outperform Lukaku/Werner as no9s.

Will ruin his United legacy as well which is the nice juicy part of it. For a paltry season at Chelsea. Ooooft.

You seem to really really hate United? May I ask why that is as a Rangers man? Seems a bit random is all.

Oh and you're wrong. Ronaldo in a Tuchel team would be awful. He's not the right type of player for him and that system at all. If you think Lukaku barely moved you aint seen nothing yet. Ronaldo won't even jog to close a player down these days.

Nobody had historic grudges against City because they were nobodies.

Different going from United to Chelsea, more Van Persie leaving Arsenal vibes.

Fair enough...

I wouldn't want to see Ronnie in a Chelsea shirt for legacy reasons alone but I genuinely don't think he'd make them much better if at all. He's not the Ronaldo of old believe me. He can finish still but there's a lot of deficiencies in his game now.

Seems to be heading towards him moving to Chelsea. Will be interesting to see if he can buck the trend of failing strikers there. You'd imagine he should, but...

I guess. I have nothing against United nowadays

He will score goals, Chelsea should in theory create more chances than United of last season.

We all know it's about being in the Champions League, that is all this move is about. Having the opportunity to put more numbers on the board in the competition so nobody can beat him.

He's only loyal to himself and it's done him well until now.

Yeah, it was Ronaldo's fault you let in 57 goals Did he tie Maguire's shoelaces together, that would explain a lot.

Surely United wouldn't strengthen a rival would they?

Back to Real Madrid?

Not really the point I made. We also had Maguire the season before he came back, finished 2nd, scored more goals, got more pts and played better football.

Ronaldo is still a great finisher but the rest of his game has gone. But he is nearly 38 tbf to him. It's ridiculous he's even still playing at this level.

Could be a great signing for chelsea, was single handedly better than all of our other attackers put together last season, at 37

That said, might also be a good move for us.

This would be a terrible signing.

Ronaldo at Chelsea would set us back in the same way it did for United and Juventus.

Set them back . Utd were shaite last season. Ronaldo was the only good thing about them, scoring 26 goals and helping them finish as high as they did.

On paper we actually couldn't handpick a better striker. Creating chances isn't our problem, converting them is. He wouldn't have to do anything besides be in the right place at the right time & put the ball in the b@stard net, he wouldn't even have to try that hard.

There's not a cats chance in hell this'll happen so it's all hypothetical, but we'd have a slight chance at the title if we had him. We've got the midfield you lacked that'll cover for him off the ball + a defence & style of play that pushes the line higher than yours did. As long as he didn't mentally check out (like Lukaku did), he'd absolutely be a success in our team.

I watched about 25 Utd games last year and he was probably your best player in 20 of them. Not sure we are asking him to win us the league or cl and I’m not sure if I want him. But his current levels are still very good
