BBC reporting we are in advanced talks and that the deal could be done today (I'll believe that when I see it).

On loan because we couldn’t get one of our main two targets this summer - Gvardiol or Bastoni. If Lenglet remains schitt then gentle Ben will pick up from where he left off last season and Clement will be packed back off to Barca

I think he’s been brought in to play CB but we’ll see. ETH will know that Varane is injury prone, Maguire and Lindelof have far too many poor games and the rest are just unreliable in every way.
I think we’ll see plenty of Martinez at CB this season.

I doubt we’ll see him at LB considering we already have 4
Ralf played Maguire at RCB at times. I’d be surprised to see a back 3 too often.
It'll be an all 'M' back four eventually in Malacia, Martinez, Maguire and McT.

The key to the deal was paying Ajax the money they wanted.

I think MU82 is referring to when we had Shaw, Darmian, Blind and Rojo playing for us!
It was the Darmian one could not get. I thought he played RB.

I think he played LB for Italy. He’s a strange one. He looked very good for a few games before then looking distinctly average for the rest of his United career.
Sanchez ruined Darmian, was decent until he got completely torn to shreds against Arsenal then just never recovered.
Romano has tweeted we have a full agreement for De Jong with Barcelona, only stumbling block is still with the player.
Yeah Darmian played LB for Italy.
