By the logic displayed in this thread, I think this means that United don't have to do anything to catch up to Rangers and Celtic.

This is really making those bookies who have us as 500/1 to win the league look pretty foolish if you ask me. Apparently we're even favourites with everyone else in the league because we don't need to catch up.

I think you'll find Dundee United are right in the title mix, and our crucial first game against fellow title chasing Kilmarnock could be pivotal to both our chances of lifting the trophy in May.

Although of course our second opponents, title chasing Livingston, might have something to say about that.

I think we were a bit slow out of the blocks which has made people a little nervous. Glad to get the best Welsh midfielder in the league back on a permanent deal, and we desperately needed more attacking options.

Still feel we need more bodies in, and particularly creative players. Probably need a left back as well.

If the window was to close with the signings made, I would say I was concerned.

So to answer your question...approaching happy but not quite there yet.

I hear Aberdeen is nice.

Aberdeen as a city is actually a nice place. The city centre however is exceptionally ugly and lacking in attractions. It really comes down to poor city planning and the fact that it has clearly been designed for industry.

Would genuinely recommend Dundee instead and I'm not just saying that as a Dundonian. The city centre itself is nicer, you've got more to do, and you're a short hop from St Andrews, Carnoustie and other nice places to visit.
