Stay safe mate

Decent performance, but not fantastic. Something not quite right with the balance of the team today-think it was Maeda that was the issue. He managed to get in good positions in the first half, but his final ball wasn’t great.

Taylor was probably on balance our best player, surprisingly. All the team were sloppy with their passing at times and he was no exception, but he drove on and was positive for most of the game. Wee JJ looked a bit out of sorts for parts of the match.

We looked a bit off fitness and sharpness-hope that picks up quickly. Aberdeen seemed to be more of a unit than they have been recently. Think playing them at Pittodrie will be more of a challenge for teams than it has been.

Happy enough, but still think we need to improve.

Aye...agreed. I'll take that performance every week. Strolled it and the goal didn't do any harm either.

Have to remember it’s the first proper outing and test, so things are always going to be a bit rusty on “first night”.

We’re in a better place than this time last season.
