Free bus pass?

“ Any other things that I might enjoy?”
Forget how to use the internet and cook some homemade broth.

Use a bus? I refuse to lose my dignity.

Hold people up wanting to do their shopping on a weekend because they work all week, and pay with coupons/vouchers and loose change.

Have time to enjoy your grandchildren, if you have any.
Holiday when you want.
Lie in bed if it's raining.
Get cheaper entrance to many things.
Free prescriptions
Generally less stress
The chance to drive to the wine regions of France to stock up.
The same for Scotland.
To read all the books you meant to ie John le Carre

Constantly call people by the wrong name. Selective hearing. Forget how to use technology you could use a week previously.

You've a lot to look forward to

I got there early this year. The Senior Railcard and free prescriptions have already saved me a small fortune.

This being Merseyside, we also get free public transport.

Well I'm 77 and haven't done either of those yet perhaps it will kick in when I'm 80

Pedant mode on: That ‘free’ bus pass isn’t free if it costs you a tenner. Ours is completely free off-peak when you hit 60, trains, buses & ferries.

Calling people by the wrong name.
I don't do that. I often forget their names but when I first spot them I run through the alphabet in my mind and usually get it. If it's a bloke in a pub I just say "Hi, how are you doing?" then listen for someone else to mention their name. If it's a lady I say "Hello young lady" which works especially well if they are over 40.

Haha good call. I just refer to people as "mate" or just say "how's things?" or something equally generic.

I'm not so much bad with names as awful with faces but same end result
