Yeah but he’s built like a rake and weak as piiiiiiss.

He looks almost anorexic

Remember Peter Crouch? At least Havertz is able to drop into midfield at times. Havertz is the child that Crouch and Firminho would have had.

Because he’s skinny and can’t score?

Replacing that flop Fabio Vieira as soon as he can.

He isn't gonna win any body building comps anytime soon but he is tall and hardly a twig. He has strength for sure and as said above, have you seen Arsenal's mf?

I think he will be a vast improvement at Arsenal if he doesn't play upfront. I hate to say bit cos I genuinely think he improves their team/squad, even if he is 5hit at Chelsea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He most certainly is a twig. He gets outmuscled 9/10. Jesus is much better at holding off defenders/buying a foul

Tuchel used him well. Won you the CL. Interesting how you lot have turned on him just because Potter and Lampard couldn't play to his strengths.

He was crap under tuchel, wtf

He scored in a cl final, that's it.
Oh and a nice header away v liverpool and a great goal v newcastle.

But he's never, ever been a consistent perfomer.

in order to turn on someone, you'd have to rate him in the first place.

posted on 16/6/23

In the CL winning year he had:

39 appearances in the pl and cl and scored 5 goals

Tuchel used him well

posted on 16/6/23

Well then. You better hope he doesn't perform under Arteta. Will make you look right mugs. Salah and De Bruyne can attest to Chelsea's decision-making, and that was when you were winning things.

posted on 16/6/23

Why would it? He's been crap for us. If he does well elsewhere it has no bearing on his time with chelsea.

Would be a good move for all parties if he plays well. Chelsea get rid of an underperfomer, they get money, havertz gets his move, and arsenal get someone who could turn out good for them.

You're moving the goalposts anyway...

Good under tuchel

Salah and KDB didn’t play much for Chelsea, though. Havertz has been a regular for three years and been crap.

All of his points have been wrong/stupid.

The thing with Havertz to Arsenal is, he cannot be any worse than the number 10 they brought in last summer.

Fabio Vieira, the invisible man.

£50m+ and £200k a week to be better than Vieira doesn’t sound like good business, though.

How am I moving the goal posts exactly?

Arsenal are rumoured to be buying Havertz for a bench role to fulfil a need we lack in rotating players. Arsenal finished second last season, and the only player we are selling from the starting 11 is being replaced by Declan Rice. He is our primary target.

For the lengths of time you have spent rubbishing a player you don't want makes it sound like you are terrified of losing him. Surely, if you are happy that Chelsea are letting him go, why would you care that he is leaving?

It took grealish a year and a half to get used to the way city play football, Vieira deserves some time before being written off

Barely gets any minutes.

Of course next season is make or break but the signs aren't great.

Still think a loan away will help Vieira develop. Havertz/ESR can fill in for Odegaard/Rice. Havertz can also be the third striker after Jesus/Eddie, and he can hold the ball better than those two in a slightly withdrawn role that Giroud used to occupy.

As a Chelsea fan, I'm suprised Arsenal are linked with Havertz - especially with the large amount being quoted (if true). The only thing is he has lots of international and European experience, and age on his side. Apart from the champions league winning goal, he hasn't done too much at chelsea - and was mainly in the team as we have no other experienced striker!

Wish him well if the move comes off, but shouldn't imagine that he'll be missed by too many chelsea fans. Mount leaving on the other hand, that will hurt!

I dont care. I just saw nonsense being posted that made me chuckle and responded to it on a slow friday in the office...

Please take him

Again nice move of the goalposts. I've posted his stats after you said he was decent that season. That proved you wrong. But now i'm just scared of losing him for posting those said stats.

Havertz can’t hold the ball better than Jesus. He doesn’t have the same strength or technical quality to take care of the ball like the Brazilian.

posted on 16/6/23

Obviously, Arteta thinks he can. And that's the only opinion that matters. Certainly not fans whose objectivity only goes as far as what the latest talking head says in the media. We'll see.

And I still don't understand what nonsense you are spouting about goalposts. Arsenal aren't buying Havertz to replace Jesus or Odegaard. I am perfectly happy to take a punt on a player once considered one of the top prospects in Europe. If he doesn't come off, he is young enough to move on with a minimal loss. No risk signing.

It’s not obvious, you’ve just guessed that.
