Evidently “Channy” has picked up a really bad ankle injury and looks set for a lengthy stay on the sidelines
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On current form, I’d say that’s actually a positive!

Marstons have made a pigs ear of growing as a brewer. They took over Jennings, Wychwood and Ringwood breweries and closed them all. They then took over Banks’s. They then sold their remaining brewing sites to carlsberg who decided to close down Banks’s. Marstons will now no longer be a brewer and will just run pubs

Didn't realise Ringwood had gone. that was a New Forest one.
England played like Wolves
strange decision not to start with. CF when there were options
Carsley blew his chances by losing that one. Guess they’ll have to find a proper manager

I was reminded the other day that it was Wolverhampton & Dudley that bought Marstons but retained the Marstons branding as it was better recognised nationally.

Production of some of their beers was transferred to Wolverhampton earlier this year when Ringwood closed, no idea whats going to happen to them now. Sounds like all production is being transferred to Burton. Used to enjoy a pint of old thumper whenever I could find one.
Evidently the elected mayor for the West Midlands has self evidently asked for a meeting with Carlsberg Marston's executives, asking them to reconsider shock plans to evidently close Banks's Brewery.
Portugal u21 won 3-1 away to the Faroe Islands today. Fabio put them ahead in the first half then the Faroes equalised. Forbs and Rodrigo Gomes came on as subs around the hour mark before two goals in the last 4 minutes won the game for Portugal

As far as I understand it the brewery at Burton will now produce all the remains of the Marstons and Bankss products and will do so under the ownership of Carlsberg (probably)
Good job there’s been this growth of independent brewers otherwise real ale would almost be a thing of the past. Big success story is Black Country Ales. Opened their first pub in 1999 and recently opened their 51st

We've got two black country pubs in Stafford now, baffles me though that 80% of the points pulled in them are still lager or cider. Especially popular is that pseudo Spanish crap, Madri which is basically rebranded carling black label.
My old man drinks Carling, still on it now even after having to have his bladder removed!

Seemingly, Fosun International are looking to sell some of their stake in Wolves to boost their January spending power.
Evidently the Wolves ownership group could sell up to 12% of their stakes.

Given our wafer thin squad and lack of quality options off the bench, I don’t share others positivity regarding this news.
We’re going to need all hands on deck the next few months 👍

To be fair I think most supporters, myself included, will want Hwang to be available to play but, like myself, would prefer that others, Guedes and Bellegarde, and maybe Sarabia and Gomes, were ahead of him when subs need to be made.

Meh, better to have him available. But he shouldn't be seeing the pitch unless we have injuries.
The big error here of course, as with Traore, is not taking the optimum offer when it was possible for a remarkably mediocre player.

Don’t think there’s any surprise that Hwang has offered so little this season. Really should have taken that £22m that was on offer. Sad to see him get inured of course but he should be way down the pecking order for the first team
