I think as a parent you don’t want to put you child at risk when you don’t have too.

Not even sure why they are bothering to make some go back for a month before summer holidays

I agree, I don’t necessarily think I would do it either. However if the risk for children regarding the flu is similar to that of Covid; at what point is it being too cautious.

I would say stopping them at the start of the next School year in September.

Right now unless you really can’t look after your child there’s really no need for then to be in school. All exams are already cancelled.

Anyone else’s missus think that the fact they ‘work from home’ mean they have to look after their children throughout the day as well?

I used to work from home once or twice per week pre Corona. My Mrs used to think it meant I could do all the cleaning and washing as I was home all day. Couldn't quite grasp that I still had to work...

Yeah no kids here but I get attitude if I haven't washed up during the day and 'thought about dinner'.

That’s why people say “work from home” like this.

When I was working from home my missus used to keep on chatting to me when I was talking to clients on the phone.

Yeah my missus got mad at me once cos I told her no to holding the baby while in a client meeting. I then beat her up and now she knows her place.
