I googled the name of it and found links from BBC and CBC. it's hardly underground

yeah but you shouldn't have to goole. you don't have to google pziefer or astra zenica.

god knows. wouldn't like to predict. would be ok with a draw though.

Yeah I think the BBC article was from like 2 weeks back. To fair such a small test doesn't really deserve news coverage. It's pretty misleading to give a percentage of efficacy for a global vaccine based on 76 people.

It's at Stamford Bridge right? Not that it really matters these days..

76 people. well fair enough then if that's true.

Just reading the more recent study on CBC. That's 19000 people at 95%. Seems there might be something in it

The story is fecking weird. Every link I click on about it gives different numbers in the studies.. the Moscow Times says 40000

Whatever. I'm not going to be getting it for a while. The only thing that bothers me though is airlines saying you won't be able to travel without getting it. I think Emirates said as much already.

TBF - that doesn't seem unreasonable to me, proof of vaccination and a recent negative covid test result?

I see both sides. I mean yeah it's nice to have that reassurance. But also the vaccination only needs to kill 1% of people for it to be worse than the virus. And we won't have that data for a long time. The long-term side effect tests clearly aren't possible in this context..

Honestly. I'll be tempted to find a friendly doctor to sign me off if it means I can travel home to see my family. I'm no anti vaxxer but I don't like to be subject to rushed, fear-based decisions that could wind up making me seriously ill. I'll take it if and when millions of others have and it's a good deal safer than risking getting the Covid.

I understand the concerns and doubts, however these vaccines are not new per se, they are modified from existing vaccines; COVID 19 is a variant SARS virus, which it (and its vaccine) has been around for sometime.
It a bit like Ford announcing an updated model, a new engine in the Mondeo, which is why the companies are able to produce them (comparatively) quickly

i think ive just had the weirdest dream ive ever had.

i was in hospital having something done to my head.

this dream went on for ever.

the notable part of it though was that when they finally got round to doing something, me and the people who had come to the hospital with me (my friends),, had to wait around for hours until they said we could go.

at some point i realised they'd cut the top of me head off and my brains were exposed. i asked them what the hell they thought they were playing at. just shrugged their shoulders, and said i'd wanted it done. i said i didnt know you were going to do that. they said well that's what it involves.

i said how long's it going to be like that ? thinking he was going to say about ha an hour.

he says you've got to come back next week and we'll put the top back on then.

If your in to easy going r&b and rap there's Anderson Paak who really should be in there. Even Jurassic 5 if you want to go back a bit

As GNs official rap correspondent I disapprove this message

Also it’s worth noting that it’s also like companies who are used to being underfunded and under no particularly pressing deadlines. It’s not unheard of for it all to be rushed - long term side effects aren’t usually realised in the 10 year window anyway. I’m just going to wait for the first 6 month window and if nobody starts dying horrifically then I’ll get the Oxford vaccine

Hearing strong rumours that Kate Bush has missed out. If that's confirmed then it means no Wuthering Heights and no Babooshka. We're hearing that the judging panel refused to be swayed by her insane good looks and creative brilliance, and that the songs just weren't quite good enough.
