Not arguing RDBD, just sharing my experiences
is that you floppy? Not seen it..
I was only ever manpower at parties really, some of it got quite heavy.. don't think many illegal parties go on nowadays.. squats in London yeah, but with these new laws..
Health and safety?
We just used to tell them we were living there, if the place wasn't locked all you needed was someone armed with the law!
" Section 7 of the Criminal Law Act 1977 provides that any person who is on residential premises as a trespasser and fails to leave on being required to do so by or on behalf of "a displaced residential occupier " or "an individual who is a protected intending occupier" of the premises is guilty of a criminal offence. While this applies to 'residential squatters', it does not apply to squatters who refuse to leave non-residential properties"
Section 7
Sounds fair to me, generally the police we came across were friendly enough.. they appreciate it more if you're far from civilization
Gawd international breaks are boring!
Evening all
Just got home - after my earlier deliberation about what to smoke at a certain event, and DCI Relative aside everyone was cracking ganja jokes all day
-------------------------
RDBD
Ironically, not sure there was ever any serious incident at the 1988-93 raves (structural collapses, fires etc) .
-------------------------
There was a Raindance where the tent collapsed I heard. Would have been 1990 or 1991 as that's when I got interested.
The guy I knew who went wasn't injured, but it was a massive marquee and quite dangerous when the supports started coming down, some would have been.
As you say, though, amazing really that there weren't any big incidents!
