That chant is quite catchy. It'll probably catch on.

So what’s your point about 2 Israelis who were kidnapped by Hamas and then released 2 weeks later? Obviously that’s bad and I have said Hamas are a terrorist organisation, but in the grand scheme of things where Palestine have been oppressed for decades and 100,000s of them killed in the last couple years alone I’m not sure what you’re trying to say regarding these 2 people who were kidnapped for 2 weeks?

Whilst I sympathise that inaction would lead to calls of Labour ‘supporting’ antisemitism, if Starmer and co were more vocal and showed even a modicum more opposition towards what is happening in Gaza, rather than casting a few lads who spray painted a couple of planes as ‘a terrorist organisation’, and if the BBC actually had the balls to broadcast documentaries they commissioned exposing the IDF’s atrocities involving MSF medics, rather than words shouted by a couple of blokes most people haven’t heard of, and would’ve been completely unaware of, but for the BBC blowing it out of proportion afterwards, then perhaps there wouldn’t even be a conversation about it now.

The more you suppress peoples’ ability to legitimately voice their opinion, and opposition, the more new ways they will seek to be heard.

Makes you wonder who’s actually running the world…

What makes Starmer/Labour’s decision to class Palestine Actions as a terrorist organisation so infuriating is that 22 years before, Starmer supported the actions of anti-war activists who broke into RAF Fairford to stop US bombers heading to Iraq. He’s a hypocrite and a c-nt.

Hero obviously.

And if you’re more outraged over a pop star’s hurty words at a festival than you are by Isreal shooting starving children in an open air prison, get your f*cking head checked.

Because of two bands?

How is it an echo chamber? It’s literally the largest most viewed music festival on the planet. Yes the vast majority of artists and attendants are left leaning and the history of the festival has long traditions in activism so stuff like this will always happen.

my eyes are open, call out the ones responsible firstly and i dont believe all in the IDF/Israel are, far from it. Secondly don't use words that incite violence and probably more wrongdoing, the type of sheit that gets us here in the first place. Two wrongs dont make a right.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm wondering how you imagine some chanting at Glastonbury is likely to "incite violence" against the IDF, based some 3,000 miles away in Israel...

In any case it's a non-event. Had this singer chanted "death to the Russian army" as a show of solidarity with Ukraine it would be either ignored by the media or tentatively supported in some quarters of it.

And lastly, anyone who spends any amount of time vexed about some speech on a stage in rural England, but not vastly not time and concern about UK complicity in a genocide really can't be taken seriously. Only one of those things actually matters or deserves our attention.

The crowd were chanting f*** Keir Starmer at Glast as well, not something I'd wanna do myself but each to their own.

Well enough for the Government to comment on and the BBC to try and ban/censor.

To wish death to anyone crosses a line and potentially incites violence. That’s the problem with hate speech - it’s the actions that it can incite that’s so dangerous.

Now on the other hand what the IDF do is utterly atrocious - but I don’t see that the answer to that is to wish death on them and to get others to chant the same.
What on earth does that achieve? It does nothing but rile up certain people who might actually try and take matters into their own hands in some way. That’s why it’s been rightly condemned

Don’t get involved with things that have nothing to do with you, like saying who’s “appropriate” to play at Glastonbury.

Yes, the last thing anyone needs right now is more planes getting spray painted.

Sir Rod came out supporting Farage this week.

So a far rightie echo chamber then?

I just love how all of the "freeze peach" people and media outlets are now suddenly outraged and demanding jail/deportation/execution because they're strongly against the actions of a certain group of people (who remember, absolutely do not run the media).

Starmer is hopelessly compromised.

Anyone suggesting he is left leaning needs to give their head a shake!

Actual genocide versus some singer’s chant

Bad things have happened to Israelis. Absolutely appalling things have happened to Arabs in the region for 70 years or so with a 20:1 kill ratio.

Britain or America could end the Gaza famine tomorrow but don’t.

If he had said 'Death to Hamas', he would be on course for a knighthood.

Calling for the death of the IDF was wrong, everything else was absolutely on the money.
