GOAL - Macclesfield 2-1 Cardiff - Matthew Barnes-Homer (88 mins)
Cardiff manager Malky Mackay is spitting feathers about the penalty decision, but Matthew Barnes-Homer doesn't care. He steps up to smash home a penalty and put the Silkmen within seconds of the fourth round.

AHAHAHAHAH HAVE IT CARDIFF!

if Homer didnt right, how did he right the odyssey and the iliad and other stuff?
=======================

It was all by word of mouth. that was the point. it wasnt written down

"word of mouth"'s the wrong expression.

basically he just remember it and recited it.

that;s what we were taught anyway, but it appears that there may be some debate about that

"Many scholars believe that the original poem was composed in an oral tradition by an aoidos (epic poet/singer), perhaps a rhapsode (professional performer), and was more likely intended to be heard than read.[1] The details of the ancient oral performance, and the story's conversion to a written work inspire continual debate among scholars"

i suspect it;s one of these things they keep changing their mind on.

it's about 25 years since i did classics , but im sure we were taught that homer recited it.

if ive got it wrong though fair enough.
