I think the supernatural elements especially in TD S1, the unknown evil and there's a little bit if Cooper in Rust. Obvs very different tones as TD almost always dark and serious and its humour is truly bleak whereas TP has constant annoying jazz music and some scenes like a soap opera

I thought that last ep was a bit weird, never felt so removed from the main story. Maybe I will look back on it in greater context, I am avoiding analysis although if I can do it spoiler-free I'll start looking at theories. I guess it was alright.
