In a sense i agree Kash. However, size of ground or not, it's an amazing innings and one that should be congratulated and celebrated by cricket fans, regardless of size of field or opposition. The score stands up for it's self. A wonderful knock on any ground in a ODI.

Your correct Googly but that ground reminded me of the Hong Kong 6s. Can a cricket fan really enjoy that? It's like a 100 metre sprinter breaking the world record but only cos he ran 90 metres?

Well if he's only asked to run 90 meters to win it, how can u complain.
I know what you're saying, but it's like when England got 535 for 1 in Aus, everyone said it's only cos the pitch was flat, rubbish, a score like that is good on any pitch in the world and to me that's like this knock from Shewag. he can't score runs on a pitch he's not playing on

Sour grapes mate, a magnificent innings that should be celebrated by all, except maybe the West Indian bowlers.

Am not saying it wasn't a great knock as it was but he did benefit from an advantage that you won't see in 99% other one dayers.

A pitch like that and an absurd score like that allows us to revel in and enjoy the real cricket going on in Tasmania right now.

Watch the odi stuff if you want (no-one is forcing you), appreciate it for what it is (a load of nonsense), and then put the real cricket on. It makes you love Test Match Cricket even more.

wat an idiotic comment. this is not the first time a player has played on a flat track and a small pitch. it was the long boindary that was 50 yards but the rest were pretty normal. i mean how many of the openers or even the no.3 have reached a score close to 150 forget 200? this is a feat that cannot be achieved even flat tracks for avergae cricketers. you need have a good strike rate first of all, and you need to bat atleast 46+ overs.

viruda has a point, a short boundary may turn some 4s into 6s, and some 2s into 4s, but it doesn't instantly make the batsman time everything well and eliminate the possibility of him getting out
