Hi mich
Wish I was prettier all round.
Lucky you are not pregnant
Hi mich
I don't understand short words.
would not know how to go about getting pregnant. Thanks anyway.
You - What you see or hear.
Apologies I was doing something.
Explain - "you" ----> 'me'.
Me - What you see or hear!
Booker admin1 warned you the other day !

Its a love hate thing with him...we love to hate him

aint that the truth.
it will be interesting to see just who uses the 'wum button' and who carries on arguing with them and complaining about them
regarding Messiah's article, I agree that this board is working well. seems less cliquey than 606 and posters generally respect one another, which is great. usage seems to have increased up to a decent level recently too. long may it continue

The only problem with this "WUM button" is that, more times than not, this function would be used towards any non-club fan, on that particular board. So you could end up with all club fans having to stay on their own board - which kind of defeats the object of this type of forum.
I believe that the best detterent for WUMs is to put them in moderation, so that their posts have to be checked before they're displayed, which could take hours to appear - but this depends on how much time the Mods have to do this.
Just a thought anyway.

my understanding of it from the description provided was that each user has their own button and that the effects of pressing that button effects only the content which is provided to that one user. ie, if there is someone i dont like, i can press a button to prevent them from posting on my articles and which prevents me from seeing their posts. me pressing my button would not effect the poster who i had identified as a wum other than to this extent - ie he/she would still be visible to other users (other than on my threads) unless those other users also used their wum buttons in relation to that other user.
the only thing the wum button doesnt seem to do as described would be to prevent the allleged wum from writing about me in the posts which i will no longer be able to see but which will be visible to other users.
other than that is sounds like a decent plan which may limit wumming whilst freeing the admins up to do things other than dealing with complaints about alleged wums.

Given the current lifetime of JA606, that is sadness of the highest order.
Mich incarnations used to have a wholly predictable gestation pattern on BBC 606. I didn't reveal it then, and I won't now (lest you have identified and use it now ) .
Anyway, he shouldn't be anywhere.
In the last week of BBC 606, his Billy Liar / Walter Mitty personality kicked in, and told us he was so wealthy he was going on a "long holiday" until Feb 2012.
If he is back, then obviously the restraining power of "at Her majestys' pleasure" +/- sectioning orders are weaker than they used to be.
But the WUM filter (especially from the article originator side - cannot do on the client side) will be great.
