That's y Pak will be looking to bowl first. Chilly morning, fresh bowlers and a hard pitch.

This may sound predictable but a lot will depend on how england play the spinners for the rest of the series..on a dry low slow pitch england's batsmen will have to have a mind set of staying the whole day.

I hope england will learn how to play spin but over the years i dont think they will learn from their mistakes. I suggest playing the ball on length, either look to sweep or come out of the crease and play the ball straight depending on the flight of the ball, and on the short ball, play on the back foot..simples ( a lesson for all you rookies out there)

The batsmen MUST forget about playing the fast bowlers in the air, the pitch is going to be so slow theres a good chance youll have to wait a tad bit longer to play the pull shot leading to a mis-hit and get out, ive got KP in mind there..

Now that Tremletts injured im torn between Monty or Onions on replacing him..im going to go with Onions as i was a BIG fan of his before the injury and can be a demon with the reverse swing, other than that i cant see the team changing much.

Lets hope for a better test match than the last!

Kash, I know nothing about playing test match cricket in Abu Dhabi. Have you any idea what we can expect from this second test?

Will the toss be a big advantage for either team? Pakistan don't mind playing in chilly weather?

Good to see you again knowit all So 2 spinners shouldn't be used by England in this next test match either? This place is totally foreign to me so I have no idea what to expect.

maks,

See the article i created, from the previous 2 games, it seems as flat as anything - so expect big scores on the board. Having said that, the best chance of wickets is in the first few hours of the first day - paks managed to bowl out lanka for 197, and although saffers scored 500+, they were 30/3 at one point. so you never know.

Some nice stats there Afridi. Were those games played in chilly conditions too?
I just feel that a good old chilly day is going to help us who are used to it lol. Am I clutching at straws now ?

I read a blog on the bbc about the chilly conditions too - not sure how much impact that will have though, i think the tempearures rise well into the afternoon, so the morning session will be crucial if anything

We have to deal with your spinner which we have not done yet. Not sure why we would cope better this time around, but will be following it closely

I expect England to play better against Pakistani spinners in this test.if they crumble again, contradicting my expectations then there are serious probs.

If we crumble again mate, then we lose the series, it's that simple. Everybody knows that we have an extremely talented set of players these days, and if none of them can work out how to play on the Sub C then so be it. I am intrigued to see how we bat tomorrow after those 2 fiascos we have produced already on this test tour.
