Looking forward to this game, if we bat first we'll have a good chance. I have a sneaky feeling they might play junaid too.

posted on 17/2/12

If Junaid comes it will be for Gul and not Cheema but i doubt it.

Kah, you're so mean!

C'mon England!

Why don't Pakistan do this...

If they win the toss and bat play Gul... If they lose it don't play him because Gul is utter crap at bowling first.

Yep Amir Neon is spot on.

Reason why England has won the first 2 odi;s is because no bit and pieces players played in the first 2 odi's.They should abandon the policy of resorting to bit and pieces as they have in the past and play with specialist who are great. Also, reason why they dont need bit and pieces is because they have specialist bowlers who bat reasonably well.

Finn should've been man of the match in the 2nd ODI.

Pakistan don't seem to be interested in the future at all. Rehman, Afridi, Younis, Misbah, Farhat, Cheema and Hafeez all over 30.

I think England also have got problems, Trott, Bopara and Morgan doesn't seem a particularly daunting middle order.

Trott is brilliant, Bopara is playing brilliantly, and we know what Morgan can do even though it has been a while since he did it I like our middle order and I like our all conquering cricket team

Trott is a fantastic test player, no doubt, however he is too one-paced as an ODI Player, his ODI average will keep him in the side for a while, but once that diminishes (as it is doing now), the rigid manner in the way he bats in this form of the game will be magnified.

Bopara has played a lot better recently, but I still haven't been truly convinced about him. He's had his fair share of luck in these two innings. Bopara just doesn't have that X-Factor (no matter how much he wants to believe it).

Totally the opposite of the way I feel about Samit Patel. I don't know what it is, but I think he's got something special about him and once he gets a good run in the side, I think he could be a really dangerous player, especially with his hard hitting.

Morgan has many tools to be a great ODI batsman, but one thing he's got to realise is that in this part of the world, the spinners WILL turn the ball. He seems to be surprised when this happens. His dismissal to Rehman in that 2nd test was simply embarassing and it summed up his tour so far. Must do better.

It seems that sand storms have been active in Dubai which may affect today's game.

posted on 18/2/12

The players were wearing sun glasses during practise yesterday because of the storms. The only thing that can stop the game is the lack of visability from a far because of the storms...

Sand storm stop play, if it does happen I bet England fans will be thinking were was this storm during the Test series...

Sand storm stop play

"Who's gonna eat the most sand today?? Players or spectators?? Unreal sandstorm here!!" Says, Kevin Pietersen...

Well, well, well...

Let's hope the sandstorm keeps up, and the match gets abandoned and this becomes a nice little England series win. That would do me nicely

posted on 18/2/12

According to today's forecast it's 30 degrees, sunny and clear so KP u will have to come out and face the spinners.

posted on 18/2/12

I'm not sure how serious a storm it is but the weather forecaster on cricinfo calls it "widespread dust".
Having lived and worked on a diamond mine in what is now Namibia, I experienced regular sand storms from an east wid blowing out of the Namib desert.
Car paintwork was damaged and windscreens pitted. Not at all cricket weather.

Would love to see Younis just play Test matches, maybe allow a Shafiq, Azhar Ali to try and cement a concrete place in the ODI team.

And, as soon as Pakistani's batting line-up in the ODI's starts hitting crisis after 8 or so months then we can call back Younis...

posted on 18/2/12

Plus, on top of that somone like Umar Akmal can bat higher than usual, Misbah can bat at number 4, which means that types of innings he plays will benifit Pakistan more because he will have longer to bat...
